I've known about Robert Olszewski for a long time because of his work with Goebel but I only recently ran across the light boxes at a local store. The heirloom boxes are really awesome and not too expensive. I'm going to have one shipped back while in the World for my father's 60th birthday. I'm sooo glad that Pete mentioned these!

We started collecting his work a few years back and we do have the entire table with Disneyland's Mainstreet, with operating train. And the attractions not made for the platform are in the family room bookcases.

They are wonderful pieces of art, and are conversation peices, which I am sure turns into "they must be nuts" outside of earshot. But that is fine with us, we enjoy our house being full of Disney art. And yes Julie, we have a few from Thomas Kinkade, although now we do feel his work is too mass produced.

Do they sell them at WDW and where??

I love the ones i have seen on his website, and think it would be the perfect thing to remind me of my trip!

The pieces can be found in many of the art galleries on property, or you can order on-line through the Disney Gallery.

I just got back from my March 9-16 trip. The heirloom boxes can only be found in the Art of Disney stores (also the Disney Jewelry store on Main Street in Magic Kingdom). Stock is extremely limited. I only saw the Tiki Room box on display. All the stores try to send you to the Downtown Disney location. Don't listen to them unless you can get them to call the store for you as they typically do not have any more in stock than the other stores. It seems as if Disneyland only keeps them in stock and I had to order mine from Disneyland DelivEARS at 800.362.4533.
