Olivia's - a nice dining experience

Last year while at DTD we decided we would like to see the Old Key West Resort. We hopped on the shuttle boat to OKW ( a lovely trip - we were the only people on board early in the evening and had a nice conversation with the driver We dined at Olivia's and had a lovely meal, reasonably priced by Disney standards, in a nice quiet setting. I think this place is not considered a dining destination by most people except for those staying at the resort. I would highly recommend it as an alternative to the hustle and bustle of most Disney dining. the only downside was a few bug bites-as we were traveling at dusk though the waters. If we had thought ahead we could have prevented that.with some spray. All in all, a lovely evening and a nice change of pace for us. Gail

We had a humorous lunch on our last trip two weeks ago. It was Super Bowl week and when we arrived wearing our Eagles caps, the receptionist wondered whether she should start sitting Patriot fans and Eagles fans on separate sides of the room! It was true – the room was filled with all manner of both teams’ caps, jerseys, etc. We all got along just fine!

Olivia’s is indeed wonderful, with a very homelike atmosphere. Breakfast is wonderful with fabulous home fried potatoes. Lunch is my favorite meal – buttermilk chicken with mashed potatoes, conch chowder, great smoothies and salads…….! Diner is wonderful too and they have a great selection of fish on the menu. It’s tops on our list!

librarylady, I agree. We'll be at OKW in 3 weeks and we're looking forward to another relaxing dining experience at Olivia's!

beccasmom, we'll have our patriots superbowl champs hats and shirts on. Hopefully things are still mellow!
