What is the best time to eat dinner on Sunday
We've eaten here twice...both last year and loved it!
I had the crab cake and soup for lunch back in June...both were super! The crab cake was just right and the soup I had was Grilled Cheese soup. At first I wasn't sure about the soup...but the server described it as a grilled cheese sandwich dipped in ketchup or tomato soup...so I was willing and it tasted exactly like a grilled cheese dipped in tomato soup! I could even taste the toasted bread flavor...not too heavy on the tomato, but very cheesy...I loved it!
In December DH and I both had the Conch chowder, which was really good. DH liked it better than I did, but I'm not much of a seafood chowder fan. I thought the potatoes in the chowder really affected the texture of the chowder...kinda like the potatoes were too soft and crumbled into the chowder. DH really liked it...said it was just like a chowder should be. He loves Mahattan Clam Chowder and compared it to that...if that helps. We both also had the house salad in December...was very good! It's a nice mix of field greens and the vinagrette dressing with the walnuts was really good! DS has had the caesar salad both trips and says it's been consistently good.
Sorry...can't help with the entrees since we have only eaten here for lunch.
As for desserts...DH had the key lime tart back in June...he wasn't impressed. DS had the chocolate cake and said it was really good...he said it's basically the same chocolate cake you find at CRT and a couple of other places we've eaten in WDW, just can't remember those names at the moment.
I would add that if you are one who likes to partake of a cocktail...those rum fru-fru drinks with umbrellas...try a Sultry Seahorse...it is quite tasty!
I hope you enjoy your meal at Olivia's...we tried it in June since we needed a place to eat on our last day..didn't have an ADR and loved it. When we went back in December it was the first place we ate since we weren't sure what time we'd be ready to eat lunch...no ADR...it's usually pretty easy to get in without an ADR I've read and would agree. We now like it so much that we plan to eat there at least once on future trips.
