The sound of a buzzer going off is too alarming for me so I use a radio alarm to wake up. I'm thinking an Olfactory may be as enjoyable, and the scent of bacon if offered would be my choice of scent.

It usually takes a jackhammer to get me up in the morning (unless I'm on vacation). I am so not a morning person. Which is why only 2 more days of the dreaded 5am rooster crowing alarm clock and I will be working nights and be a normal for me noon wakeup call.
The added bonus of going to nights is it will be part-time. Yippee.
I am working my way towards retirement in the next 5ish years.
DH wakes me up. I can sleep through an alarm clock.
I've heard of the olfactory clocks, but I always thought it would be so depressing to wake up to the smell of bacon only to find there isn't any there to eat

About half the time, my travel alarm clock that beeps. The other half of the time, I wake up about 5 minutes before the alarm.
I worked graveyard for 25 years, and slept during the day and now sleep in until 2 am to be at work at 3 am. I can sleep through about any noise....except my alarm clock. Just conditioned I guess. Yes, I slept through them putting a new roof on my house, adding onto my house, about any kind of noise your can think of from the neighbors next door. And I have slept though cooking of more meals than I can think of, so an olfactory alarm would be useless.
