On a number of occassions I have tried to explain what Old Town is all about to people that have been after something different to do in an evening that is away from the parks and resorts.
I thought I would start a thread that focuses purely on Old Town with the theory that 'A picture paints a thousand words'
Below are some of the pictures we have taken during our many trips there and I if anyone else has any that show what Old Town is all about then feel free to add them too.

Great idea! I'll be watching this thread with interest as we are planning a Saturday evening visit on our October trip.

I always wanted to go here but my family never liked the look of the rides might have to have a surprise trip for DF this year

wow, check out those bikes :cool2: I am planning an afternnon/evening ther on my next trip and the piccies are a really good idea.:thumbsup2

I like it and DD enjoyed the children's rides. But I felt uneasy parking there - where do you park and do you have to pay?

We have never had to pay in all the times we have been. If you get there early enough there are parking spaces behind the shops (the left hand side as you look down Old Town towards the 192), but failing that there are plenty of spaces along the side of the road that runs in a big horse shoe shape around the back of Old Town. This road turns off the 192 just before OT and then sweeps round and rejoins it just after OT.
Did that make any sense??

There is parking behind the shops as Kenny says also a large carpark right at the back behind all the rides and Old Town fire engine(if its still there) On busy car/bike nights when all the car park is full they open up the field for overflow (unless they have built on it now, about a year since we went in the field)
You can get to the parking down the side of Checkers burgers or down the next entrance where Old Town suites are.

Only have 4 pics uploaded for Old Town will see if I can find some more this weekend.
Last one is the Fire engine I just mentioned in Previous post.

Excellent thread! I love Old Town - especialy Black Market Minerals (the crystal shop). The Cruise nights are well worth a visit - the cars are amazing but haven't managed to do a bike night yet.

The pictures posted here are perfect at summing up what this place is about :)
