Old Tix on Room Key Questions

About 3 years, my DH became sick while we were at WDW. He did not go to the parks. At the end of the trip, he was feeling better and asked a CM regarding his Tix. He didn't want to waste any Tix. If he was go with us on the last day, it would activate the Tix and the remaining days will expire. The CM told him if he didn't activate the tix, it can be used at a later time so he didn't go to the park for 1 day. He wasn't feeling his best and figured it wasn't worth it.

My DH's schedule is very unpredictable and he has not be been able to use it. He told me that I should use it. The Tix is on a Room Key that has his name on it. He says that the CM said anyone could use it. I just want to double check that.

Also, if I can use it, how can I get that Tix on the Room Key linked to my disney experience under my name?

I want to link to my disney experience so I do Fast Pass. The number on the card will work on my disney experience? Do I need to covert anything. Call Guest Services?
