I just found some old tickets in a scrapbook, like from 1997, that still hvae days on them. Could we get some sort of discount with these? They are obviously not park hoppers, and we would want that, but there are still three days left on these four passes. It would be nice if we got some sort of money back! TIA!

Hate to break it to you, but passes expire.

And I'm pretty sure 14 year old passes would be expired...

:lmao: I can just see it now! "14 days from first use? I thought it said 14 years!" :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

There is no expiration date, so it just expires after so long? didn't realize that!

I've heard that some of the older passes do not expire and you can still use them but if they were not hoppers than generally they will not let you use them as hoppers.

I've heard of people using old tickets as partial payment toward a new ticket but I was under the impression that they had to be unused tickets. I have no personal experience with this though so I don't know. :confused3

I thought those old tickets could still be used.
I know my sister had some partly used tickets that don't expire from way way back & when she went several years ago she used them to get in with no extra cost.
Would sure be worth checking into it.

This question comes up every now and then.

If you have a DL ticket that predates when DL started using expiration dates on tickets it can be used. But only the value of the ticket applied to a new ticket. So look at the ticket and see if it says anything about expiring and what the value of the ticket is. Hopefully when you get to the park you speak to a CM that is familiar with doing the exchange because this is not a common occurance.

I'd imagine even if they do take them, they'd have to give you a new ticket, right? How else could you get FP's?

If they don't say they expire then they will honor them... Even if you had a main gate admission ticket from the old Disneyland ticket books you could take it to the ticket booth and exchange it for a park pass!

We did this at WDW. I had found 3 tickets from the 80's when packing up my mother's house with 2 days on them. At WDW, it was important to exchange those for new 2 day tickets, then later you could add days to that new ticket, because if you said you wanted to apply the old 2 day ticket to a new 4 day ticket, they only gave you the cash value of the old ticket at the old price. But days they would swap one-for-one. Not sure if DL is the same, but that is something to keep an eye out for.
