Old tickets question

The first time my family visited WDW after magic bands were implemented, I linked some no expiration tickets to them that also included the water parks and more feature. I have a few questions about this for our upcoming trip this week.

1) if they were linked to a previous magic band that is listed as active, will they also be linked to the new bands we are getting for this trip or do I have to transfer it over somehow? or does Disney have to do the transferring?

2) If we have used the main park tickets but did not use all of the water park days, are they still available? I can't remember if they were contingent on having park days left or not...

I am trying to chat with Disney as I write this but something tells me the Dis will have more information, faster! :)

You don't need to transfer anything. The tickets are linked to a MDE profile and any MagicBands linked to the same profile can access the tickets. If you have multiple MagicBands, you can use them all interchangeably as long as they are active in MDE.

If the tickets had the No Expire option, any unsed WPF&M options are still available even if the theme park days have all been used.

1. Tickets are not linked to your Magic Bands, they are linked to your MDE account. Any Magic Bands that are linked to your account will work.

2. Your WP&M entitlements are not dependant of having park days left.

1 all magic bands are one and the same if linked to MDE ( I have 13 yes 13 and they all work most of the time)

2 if you days left then yes but just be warned you may have used your old non expired tickets first and it might have saved your ticket you thought you were using for your trip ( I have heard this happing to a number of people) I think with the water park tickets you have to have a park ticket too

Thanks everyone! I got in touch with the Disney people and they gave me the same info about the magic bands which is great so no one has to hunt down their old ones. They also gave me the number of who to call to find out how many days are left on old tickets, etc (I don't know why they can't make this info available to us on MDE but that's another topic for another day!) but you can def still use old water park tickets even if your theme park tickets have been used. Too bad I don't have any left :( but other people do so I at least get to tell them they saved money! Now of course they are calling for rain the day we were planning water park...Friday! but we will just play it all by ear :earboy2:
