Gh...I have avoided all the fp+ as long as I could....but now I am looking for info (sigh). If i have an old NE ticket with a couple days entry left on it,do i need to bring it to gs at the park, and (somehow) link it to all the new stuff? Its a paperlike ticket... Also,if i have more than one,can i just put them all in my name,vs. trying to recall which one each person used?

Yes, go to guest services to exchange for RFID ticket. And no, you can not combine tickets for you, if they have been partially used for others. Only tickets you have used.

You could also, before you go, link it to an MDE account so you could do FP+ before your trip.

Guest services is good, but, you can also go to any of the ticket booths outside the parks and they will do the same thing for you. I don't know how that connects with an MDE account though. Mine was a straight forward change from old ticket to RFID. It took about 3 minutes.

As a PP said if you have an MDE account (or if you want to set one up) you can link older tickets online going back to 2007, before that there is a number you have to call for more information regarding linking those.

I just linked paper NE tickets from 2010 but they have not been used yet.

I have also read that when you link older, used NE tickets that it will show the amount of park days but not how many options are left.

Changing out older tickets at a guest services is also quite easy. Did it last October with paper tickets. We were there for F&W and didn't need to utilize FP+ at all so didn't bother with linking them. It was very quick to change from paper to RFID. We still have those at home and will use on future F&W trips.

ok thanks...I need to check the dates, the tix might be from 2007...what about passes with JUST wp admission left on them? I would probably need guest services for that, right?

All tickets must be rfid now. So convert the newer ones (the ones with the magnetic strip on the back). The finger print data should move over but you can try and see if it works for you. If it does then it becomes your ticket as it will save the finger print to the ticket account (assumed)... Older ones without the magnetic strip also need to be converted but they technically don't belong to anybody so the first person who uses them takes ownership of them. I am assuming the finger print data is saved to the account as i doubt they are writing data to the rfid memory. It is possible but i doubt it. As said, it is fast and when i did mine last Christmas i had both old tyvek tickets with the strip and and very old tickets that still had Pleasure Island passes on them. All converted over accurately and with no issues. Although, the CM made no comment when i said that i need to use the Pleasure Island passes before it goes away... I guess that boat sailed... Some place i have paper tickets with River Country passes on them... I should take them in and have them converted... :beach:

My observations with linking our NE tix earlier this month...

I have also read that when you link older, used NE tickets that it will show the amount of park days but not how many options are left.

I just linked our tix from 2010 on-line to our MDE account and this is what we see now... days remaining but no other information.

Older ones without the magnetic strip also need to be converted but they technically don't belong to anybody so the first person who uses them takes ownership of them.

After inputting each ticket number, MDE asked me what person I wanted to link the ticket to, and after I chose the person, it sent a notice to the email address for that person letting them know they were linked to it.

I would try inputting them into MDE now and assigning them to people in your profile. If that doesn't work, when you exchange them at GS or ticket booth you can scan them into MDE with the app. The scanning takes on a moment to do and then you assign it to the person it belongs to and you are good to go.

Cool, I don't have any tickets linked to my MDE account. I have both hoppers and non-hoppers and want to be able to choose which i want to use. So thanks for the information, i did not know they make you link them in MDE.
