Thank you!! I am so happy to report that Disney was fantastic about helping me with this situation. I went straight to the ticket counter when we arrived this afternoon and explained that our tickets were expired but that we were able to make reservations for each day of our trip this week. The cast member had me pull up my tickets through the app, she scanned them and confirmed that they were in fact expired and then told me that we just needed to pay the difference and that my reservations would remain intact.

The difference for a 3 day park hopper was $35/person and I gladly paid it. She did have a manager/supervisor "override" something and I probably asked her half a dozen times if I would still be able to keep my park reservations, to which she replied, "Oh, of course!" She said that there was a glitch that allowed people to book reservations using expired tickets and it sounds like Disney has adapted to dealing with it in person, but definitely has not trained their call centers on how this will be handled. It seemed like this was a no-brainer for them to make things right in person, but the person I spoke with a few days ago on the phone gave me very little hope that we would actually make it into the parks without someone else canceling a reservation that I would be lucky enough to pick up.
