Old ticket for water park question

We have 10 day plus waterpark tickets, The old paper tickets, non expiring. We have used all the park tickets on them and only have the fun option left.

We have linked new park tickets to our magic bands, The new tickets do not have fun options.

It will take us a few years to use up all the fun options on the first set of non-expiring tickets, we go to the water parks once a trip. Can I use the old paper ticket at the water park for one day. Or do I need to add it to my new magic band and then keep that magic band for years?
TIA

Reportedly, you can't link MYW tickets that only have the WPF&M options remaining to your MDE profile. Apparently, this is because the system doesn't see any theme park days remaining and won't allow you to link them.

You can convert those tickets to RFID and use the RFID card at the entrance.

I was able to do it with one that only had WP&M left a week ago. I already had additional tickets with park entry on that MagicBand so I don't know if that makes a difference?

I'm not sure how long ago I saw the post where someone was unable to link theirs. It's possible that the problem was with their actual tickets. Some tickets aren't linkable due to the age of the tickets. I didn't follow the post to see if they ever got them linked.

What is RFIdticket. I do not care if the tickets do not link.

All tickets now being issued by WDW are on plastic cards that contain an embedded RFID (Radio Frequency Identifier) Chip. WDW has converted all Theme Park and Water Park entrances into Touch to Enter. To use the Touch to Enter entrances, you touch either your RFID Ticket or MagicBand to the reader and it uses the unique code assigned to the RFID chip to verify the ticket in their system.

You can no longer use a tyvek (paper) ticket to enter any of the WDW parks.

Take them to Guest Services at any location (all Theme Parks, Downtown Disney, etc.) and they can issue RFID tickets for the old format non-expire tickets that you still have. They will issue RFID tickets for the Water Park option even if the Theme Park admissions have all been used.

We did this last week for passes we have for our family who will be returning this summer.

With help from the IT folks, I was able to link old paper tickets that only had WP+ left on them. All of them got linked to our MB.

I was able to link mine. When you go to MDE it may look as if you don't have any tickets linked. To see them, you have to look at the "old" or past tickets option.
