OLD THREAD: 2012 Beach and Yacht FAQ, Part 2- May, June and July DON'T POST HERE!

That's fantastic! I can't wait to hear what you think about the Fantasy. We are going Christmas 2013. The only cruise we have been on is the Magic (which we LOVED) so I can't wait to see what it's much bigger sister is like!:cool1:

I'm not a fan of the super large ships so hopefully I'll enjoy it. Bob likes the large ships so he's very happy. I'm still sad the Magic and Wonder are both gone from the Cape.

Thank you so much Cindy :) I appreciate the pics :)

I think I'm going to be with you on that! I have this feeling that I'm going to enjoy the Wonder even more than the Dream. We had a great time on the Dream - but the Wonder seems so classic, cozy and manageable. And it seems to feature lots of family activities/games instead of separating activities by age group. We'll be on Deck 8 midship, so all the stuff on Deck 9 will be just one flight up!

11 days for me, Bob, Jeanne and the Princess herself.

I'm almost done taking everything waist high and below and putting it in the spare room away from grabbing hands. The house looks empty.

The crib is set up and in our room (the only place it fits). Bob keeps looking at it and shaking his head.

:rotfl::rotfl: Sounds wonderful. Poor Bob!

:wave2: Just popping in for my BC fix :beach: And to see what's new with everyone!
Summer is flying by, a little too fast. Aside from a Whistler trip, I've been staying home trying to get a few projects done, before we leave for our Aug WDW trip.

Wish I could say it's to BC, but it's AKL CL this time, got an amazing CL deal there! I blame it on Teena, she got me hooked on CL :rotfl2:

We plan on grabbing a bite at B & C to get our BC fix in, so sad Teena that you will be away with Jeannie.

Leave Aug 14, suitcases out :goodvibes

So excited. Bob and I just booked a 7 night Disney cruise on the Fantasy leaving 9/22/12. So I won't be at work on 9/23 and 9/24.

That is fantastic Teena. :thumbsup2 Only there is one problem I have with those dates. We check in to the BC on Monday Septeber 24th. Guess I am going to miss meeting you.

Oh my how exciting! Lily is going to sleep with Nana and Papa...how great is that! She is at the perfect age to really have some fun with her. Wishing you a fantastic visit. :)

Just want to say thank you for this thread! After deciding to be more than weekend warriors and start to actually enjoy athe Disney experience we have decided to try out the BC & YC, mostly for SAB. Although I think my kids are pretty excited for Beaches and Cream as well :p

I am hoping that our Oct experience is as good as I think it will be and DH is willing to keep our Feb resies. But we will make a detour in Jan for a Royal Room at POR for DD princess:

You'll be there for F&W too. Just a short walk over for some good eating and drinking!

Thank you to all of you for the great info. We fly out tomorrow at the wonderful hour of 6:30 a.m. (that means leaving the house at 3:30!!!). By noon tomorrow we should be at BC and smiling...possibly a little yawning too. I thnk I am more excited than our 5 grandkids who will be with us. First time for DH :cheer2:

Teena, I totally agree. That is why I posted that. There are enough people staying here to crowd the pool, we don't need any day guests.

The cm have been very strict checking ALL 5 of our key cards at all times of the day. I have heard of a couple not allowed to enter till they had all of the cards.

I just figured I would pass the info on what they are telling people and that may cause some problems for people who do not know the policy.

:wave2: Very happy for you Teena, but sad for me  We are arriving on the 23rd and was hoping to meet you. Well, maybe next time

LOL! :rotfl2:

To all those who are getting ready to leave soon have a great trip!

To all those who have recently returned, feel free to stay with us and contribute your experience and knowledge. We'd love to have you and even though you may be bummed out that your trip is over, it's a small way to keep the magic alive until your next trip.

Ok, I'll give some experiences I've had so far. It's HOT, but no so humid. It was way hotter and more humid in Pittsburgh the weeks before we left.

SAB, has not been as crowded as I've experienced in the past. We have always been able to find seats at any time of the day. They are definitely checking room keys to get in. Saw a few turned away that did not have one for each person.

All the cm at the YC have been super nice, in fact even the ones in the park have been very nice.

Crowds are definitely less than we have experienced in the past. Which is good. Went to the studios yesterday, got into the park about 9:10 and went directly to TSM. Got a fast pass, then hopped in line. Was on the ride within 10-15 mins. Came back with the fast pass later and waited maybe 5 mins. Today, went to Epcot around 9:30 and got a fast pass for soarin. No issues.

Loving the YC. They do have a few pieces of resort specific merchandise. Everything is very clean. No pixie dust, got the room we booked and paid for. Who can complain about that. It's a very nice and quiet room that faces the side pool.

If anyone had any questions, let me know.

One last thing, the tour groups. We got off the boat at the studios and I saw 6 busses full of them getting off to go into the park. I almost left. Not really any issues so far with them except they like to block the walk ways. They were well behaved at the studios.

Only 21 days until we are at YC! I'm getting excited and nervous. My boys did their first overnight stay in their pack n play's at my mom's house last weekend and it went much better than I had anticipated. They have also taken a few naps in them as well. I'm hoping that they can keep up the good sleeping habits for our trip. I'm also desperately praying that all 4 of their molars break through, so I don't have to deal with the crankies from teething!!!!

My husband and I have decided to drive overnight to Disney EEK! I have to call Disney tomorrow and add an extra night..have to decide between All Star Sport/All Star Music.

I have a feeling I will be having a bunch of questions over the next few weeks, so thanks in advance for everyone's help! I wish I had the time to read everything on these threads, but I am so overwhelmed with finishing 3 graduate classes. I thought I would have way more time than I really do!
Anyway..I don't post much, but I do try to keep up, and I love listening to everyone's experiences. There are some remarkable people on this board!

If you can just manage to read the information on page one it will really help. As for your questions, feel free to ask. There is no such thing as a dumb question on this thread so share your concerns with us and everyone will do their best to help. :grouphug:

As for the molars it's been awhile but I used children's Advil or the generic equivalent when my 3 were teething. Years later when the braces came sometimes the Advil made a reappearance to help with that kind of pain. All of this was approved by our pediatrician but you should probably check with yours to see what they suggest. Keep in mind I'm sure you have a coping strategy for all this. I just thought I would share what worked for us. Good luck with the planing and don't stress too much. I have a feeling you're going to have a great vacation!
