Everybody except for whiny inlaws and other Disney trip crashers that don't know how to have fun at Disney.
And it had a Grey Goose slushy machine, and a view of the Matthew Mcconaughey/Johnny Depp tree.
And endless daybeds.

I am very glad we did this, but don't plan on repeating this endeavor yearly! Rest day tomorrow! SAB, here we come!![]()
donnaf516 said:Thanks Teena! We would really love a full balcony so I think I'll take my changes on the daybed. Hopefully since we're coming at the end of August you won't be booked to capacity. We're checking in mid week so I'm not sure if that will help us or hurt us. Also, the first couple days (8/22 - 8/25) are booked separately from our package so I'm hoping we can stay in the same room for the entire time.
Is the rollaway large enough for an adult to sleep on?

My feet hurt too much to go over to YC to pilfer and pillage for daybeds. Glad to hear they are keeping good company with a grey goose slushie machine and a tree that sounds sexy as heck!
Today we walked over to Epcot, rode M:S twice, had breakfast at Sunshine Seasons, rode Figment, Nemo and Soarin'. Then we took the friendship boat to DHS. Rode Star Tours twice and RnR once. Before leaving we each got a slurpie. My husband decided we should walk home and beat the boat, so we walked to the Boardwalk, then on to BC to die, I mean rest. And eat. After resting and eating (maybe some swimming too), we met Teena on the lobby. Thank you so much for taking time out of your day to talk with us. My kids were thrilled with their new pins!
We bussed over to AK where we rode EE three times in a row in 30 minutes, Primeval Whirl (didn't think I could fine a ride worse than Stitch's Great Escape....but I did!), and Dinosaur. Oh urs, we did try the jalepeno chese pretzel...yum! We then took the bus to TTC and monorail to MK. I didn't realize the bus didn't go all the way to the MK. Dinner was at Pecos Bill's. It was there that we hit the wall. No one wanted to stay so we headed out. We did see Wishes as we walked out

Wow - you don't log on for a few days and you end up 20 pages behindI love this thread!
This may well be the least pre-preparation I've done for a trip yet! We leave in just 28 short days but we have been very preoccupied with the potential purchase of our dream home!! It is a lakefront short sale home that we put offer in on in November - yes - last year!! Nothing short about short sales. We JUST heard today that bank is approving with 1 minor glitch we still have to work out but assuming the formal approval comes next week and they want the standard 30 days to close that means closing would be the week we're in Disney so I'm now nervous about needing to extend that. Then there's the little matter of finishing some minor things at our current house in order to put it on the market. But who has time for all of that - i have some serious spreadsheets to finish organizing, color coding, and printing!!No time to waste!!

Good morning everyone! We are resting our weary feet at SAB this morning. The pixie dust keeps on coming! First, while waiting for the pool to open, a couple gave us their pool noodles! Then, we were selected to be Family of the Day at SAB! The kids were thrilled. My son remarked, "I don't think we're going to MGM today!". We are in heaven!
I will definitely be trying a Sunken Treasure this afternoon ! Woo hoo!

Left Syracuse, NY at 3:45 pm yesterday. Made it to south of Jacksonville in a shade over 18 hours! Hanging out in The Avenues mall waiting for our room to be ready so we can crash and wake up early tomorrow to do an early check-in at the Beach Club!!!
Of course, since the fam slept most of the way down, they're up for fun. I'm conscious thanks only to Red Bull, Starbucks and impending Disney Magic!

(sorry, my double quote didn't work.....)
Problem is that the groups assemble outside the front entrance to Epcot so that's really why going through IG won't be of any help. We took a cab to Epcot from the YC. Cabs are sitting out front just waiting for you to get in. Keep the receipt. When you get back to the YC, go over to the concierge desk and give them the recipt. They will credit your room for the cost of the cab ride (plus tip). It's easy, it's fast, and it's convenient and it's not a problem. Enjoy the backstage tour!!
For all of you Y&B guests that know Vic, one of our dispatchers, luggage room CMs and someone who filled in for us as lobby greeters on occasion, I just wanted to let you know that Vic passed away Thursday evening. He actually worked at the Y&B on Thursday. He will be missed so much!!!
