I would never get my parents on a cruise. And they would drive me nuts. LOL. My Dad doesn't like to travel. He would never go to Disney. The best way to describe him...Archie Bunker...or to put it in Disney terms, he'd be Grumpy.

Lol! My dad likes to travel but he's definitely not a Disney person. They joined us for a week in Disney one year and while they enjoyed the week dad says "been there, done that don't want to do it again!" He's already grumbling because DD wants to spend her sweet 16 at Disney but he won't miss it for the world. Maybe I need to get him a Grumpy shirt for the trip! Lol

It did take some convincing to get him to agree to the cruise. I have assured him that Disney is not crammed down your throat the whole time. You can have as much or as little of it as you like. Of course the shows are Disney themed but they are like broadway shows so I don't think he will mind those. We shall see what he thinks after its over but I think he will be very happy he decided to go! <fingers crossed>

My friend always stays at Anchorage by the Sea. We stayed at the Gazebo Inn for our anniversary last year. Beautiful B&B and the breakfast was fantastic. Also a nice little walk down to the beach - although, I do wish the small section of Rt 1 that we had to walk down had had a sidewalk. Thankfully the area off the side of the road was wide enough for walking without traffic being a problem, but just having a sidewalk would have been nicer.

I know what you mean about the sidewalk or lack there of. Not as safe as walking around WDW!

I'm sure the answer is in here, but a search yielded no results. I want to go to the Transportation Center to photograph fireworks at 9:30pm in December (during MVMCP), then back to the Beach Club. Having dinner in Epcot, so it would be easy to hop the monorail to the TTC. Best way to get back? Since Epcot will be closed, I'm guessing Bus or Taxi?

Shula's at the Dolphin is very good. How about Le Cellier as well? You can walk to either from BCV...

We all really enjoy Le Cellier when we went last month. We did lunch since it was 1TS and the filet was small but perfect for lunch, actually we were stuffed when we left and just snacked that night with no real dinner.

That's exactly what we did last August! For us this place is a must. We have always had a great meal here.

Another vote for Le Cellier! It is a must do on our list. We usually go for lunch as well since we are on the dining plan and only want to use 1TS for each of our TS meals. The filet with mushroom risotto is delicious!! And the pretzel bread disappears at an amazing rate at our table. :)

Thanks everyone, we aren't on the DP so we made ADR's at Le Cellier for dinner. :flower3: Penny

Ooh! I know! Pick me, pick me!!!
If it were me (and it very well may be... ) I'd just head over to the magic kingdom and catch a bus to the resort from there ....

Just needed to take a break from packing (Gah... moving! Why didn't I start packing sooner!?!?!:scared:) to catch my breath and remind myself...

4 months from today I will be checking in for my first ever stay the Beach Club!

I'm in just checking in in to let y'all know i'm at Great Wolf Lodge, which is a hotel/water park resort with theming like the Wilderness lodge...... so i'm having some major Deja Vu! I've taken to calling this place the "Wolf–derness Lodge"!! We have our Fresh Air Fund camper for the next 2 weeks so we are in major party mode. I still have to take it easy with my recovery but let me tell you there is nothing like being around kids to put a wag in your tail!

27 days until we leave and I just got in the mood to CHANGE all our ADRs!!! :crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2::crazy2:

After reading Teena's review of Cape May I think we should cancel it. Here is what we have:

Cape May - thinking about doing Beaches n Cream that night instead
Ohana - thinking about changing to Crystal Palace or Tony's
Le Cellier - probably keeping this one
Narcoosee's - thinking about changing to Yachtsmen's Steakhouse
Teppen Edo - thinking about changing to Nine Dragons

Also thinking about adding Coral Reef.

I am crazy!!!!!!!!!!!! :joker::joker::joker::joker::joker:

I wouldn't give up Ohana for either Crystal Palace or Tony's. Definitely not Tony's. We've been there twice and hated both times.

I would trade Teppen Edo for Nine Dragons.

I would keep Narcoosee's and Yachtsman and give up Le Cellier. Last year we really felt something was lacking at LeCellier (and it used to be one of our favorites!).

Dee, as you already know, you can put me on the guest list for MNSSHP this fall!!!! We have flights booked and party tickets, and I still need to book the resorts. We're planning two nights at BC and then one at CR the night of the party. That's October 6-9. Yay!!!!

Yeah to the cracking down on the "chair holders".

We never get a chair until we're coming down to the pool to stay. Even then we usually only take 3 chairs for the 5 of us.

We're all for chair economy! Now down to one chair for the five of us! I think that's why I think it's so easy to find a chair at SAB any time of the year - I'm only looking for one. :) So excited that your trip is coming up so quickly! We'll "see" you soon at the meet!

Bob and I have done loads and loads of Disney cruises (I recommend 7 nights or longer though) as adults only. We love them!!! And what can you say about the adult only beach and bbq at Castaway Cay besides it being a little bit of heaven. It's my happy place!!!

Everyone, watch out for Teena when she talks about cruises! :) During one of our 2010 BC stays, Teena told us we'd love a Disney cruise. Two months later, we booked our first one - Teena said we'd love it and she was right! August 2011: We were on the 3-night Dream. August 2012: We'll be on the Wonder to Alaska. I haven't been on a 7-night yet, but I can already see why she recommends it.

Teena, love the photos of you and Jeanne during your trip - looks like a great time!

Have fun and enjoy!!! :)

I've been reading the reports about changes to Cape May Cafe and I just wanted to check something. We have booked the Clambake because we really love seafood, we're not really interested in ribs but we'll be disappointed if there isn't plenty of fish, clams, shrimp, crab etc.

I was just hoping someone could confirm that there's plenty of seafood on offer, otherwise we might have to rethink our plans :(

Andona

Yep, you are good to go: steamed clams and mussels and crab legs. Not lots of fish though.

I would definitely do B&C over Cape May now that they got rid of so much (for us non-seafood people).

I'm not a fan of Ohana's. I'd go to Crystal Palace or Tony's but my daughter (31 years old) loves Ohana's.

Narcoosee's versus Yachtsmen? Tough call.

Teppen Edo definitely over Nine Dragons and Jeanne and Bob agree on that too.

Robin, it's almost time for your trip. Are you driving this time? Lumberton is getting a new Chick fil a . Won't be open on your way down but will be open on the way home! Hey, we have to be grateful for the little things!

We've done the one in Williamsburg and it was tons of fun.
