Hi all. I recently inherited some Disney memorabilia and was wondering if you all could help me identify what it is exactly.

Item 1: Pinocchio image pieced together with animal skin/hair. I believe this item probably was made somewhere between 1950-1970's? though I could be wrong. Is labled on the back "Walt Disney Productions" and is numbered 170. Approx 18inches x 13.5 inches in size.

Item 2: Pinocchio done out of wood and made in Italy. No idea how old it is. 6 inches tall.

Both items are from my half brothers father who passed many years ago so I suspect the wooden pinocchio was purchased/made around the same time as the other item.

Please someone with expertise help me out! Thanks in advance!

***EDIT, I cant post pics until I have 10 posts....Pics of the items will be in post 11 of this thread....sorry*****

Thanks, if there are other websites that you know of that could help me with this please let me know

bump...NOBODY can point me in the right direction or have info? I thought if anyplace on the internet would know this would be it! :worship:

No help on the first one - I suspect there are Disney collectors out there who would recognise it, but its not something I've seen before. Worthpoint is normally a useful website for the more modern collectibles, but I can't see this listed at present so it doesn't look like they are changing hands particularly regularly at the moment which may increase the value of yours if you can find someone who wants it.

I would be very surprised if your 2nd piece is Disney at all (unless there is a Disney marking on it I have missed) - Pinocchio is a traditional European folk tale and whilst perhaps revived in popularity by Disney, that doll doesn't look like the Disney version of the character. I have seen similar toys for sale very cheaply in carvers craft shops in the area and whilst I'm by no means an expert, the volume of similar things produced and no obvious link into the more collectible Disney market would make it unlikely to be worth much IMHO.

Thanks for the response and pointing me towards worthpoint. So I went to that site and did a search for "Disney, leather, Pinocchio" and didnt find it either....With that in mind it seems sort of pointless signing up for their free trial right? Any other sites/forums that I wont have to pay money to find out I have something relatively worthless? lol

thanks again
