Old Passes Question

I am sure that this question has been addressed somewhere on the site, so yes, I guess I am being lazy by not looking for it...but I also know that someone can probably answer this before I can find it on my own :teeth:

When we went to WDW last March, we purchased park hoppers with one option. We have used the days at the parks, but we still have the option available. Can we still use it or has Disney stopped accepting previously purchased passes? We are going this summer, and we really wanted to use the option on the passes to go to one of the water parks.

Thanks a bunch for the help... :sunny:

PS - Any opinions on which water park is better -- Blizzard Beach or Typhoon Lagoon???

Days and options not used on previously purchased park hoppes are good forever. Just like they promised when they sold you the tickets.

We prefer TL because the wave pool is fabuolus. I also like the snorkling pool with the fish. Can't wait to try the new coaster slides.

MichiganMomto4, thanks so much for the help...I knew someone would come through quickly!! :cheer2:

I didn't think that Disney would dishonor the previously purchased tickets, but I just wanted to make sure. Better know for sure now, than have an unpleasant surprise when we showed up at the water park!!

Newcomer52, thanks for the vote for TL. The pool with the tropical fish looks awesome. That is the one I was leaning toward. I know the kids would probably be happy with either of them, but I, of course, want the one that they will really, really enjoy and that is the most different from the big water parks up here at Wisconsin Dells that we normally go to.

I'm glad you asked because I had the same situation and question with our old passes! :flower:

Old passes are always good, day for day, into the future "for the rest of your life" as one early 1990's brochure advertised.

Except that the new ticket pricing structure means that many folks are getting just three dollars of value out each old pass' park day.

Old hopper plus passes may have more days than you think. A day when you visited only water parks (or Pleasure Island) does not count as a theme park day.

Even a Disney ticket book from 1971, which has separate coupons for the monorail/ferry from the parking lot and for each ride you choose, is good for a day's admission today if the book is totally unused. It is probably worth more if sold on eBay.
