I posted this in another thread but I suspect it's been missed.

As of 18th June, expired park tickets stopped producing Fast Passes, instead you get:

I wonder if this will also apply to the old unlimited/eBay fast pass cards...

:woohoo::woohoo: maybe finally the ebayers who profit from this will disappear.

Good. This makes it fair for everyone!

Totally agree, even though I have saved all my passes from previous trips I have never used them. I'm lucky as my mum & dad don't like the really fast rides so I use there passes if they are with me.

Oh, I am glad they've done this. :thumbsup2

Now, we just need them to stop accepting the ebay tickets :duck: I don't have any problem with people choosing to buy these, what I dislike is that the money is lining the pockets of people who have more than likely dishonestly obtained them and let's face it, if these ebay passes are out of the equation fastpasses will stop running out so early in the day.

We've saved all our old APs too for scrapbooking but I'd have been far too scared to use them ....... they have our names on!!

Interesting to see that it says "your ticket was not used for admission today".

We have a package booked which will include park tickets, which we will NOT use for admsission as we have APs. I wonder if they will work for FPs.

I doubt it ~ the FP machines in the US parks only work with tickets that have been used to gain admittance to the park so I guess the DLRP ones will be exactly the same. You could always go in ..... and out ...... and in again ;):rolleyes1 :goodvibes

I've got 2 lifetime fastpass tickets that were given to my by City Hall in Dinsey due to some problems I had on one visit, these tickets look very similar to the ebay fastpasses - how would they tell if you genuinely had been given them or you had bought them off ebay?:confused3

Does this mean that I might not now be able to use them?

For this reason alone, they probably won't stop the machines accepting these.

Just read on Disney Central Plaza that the ebay fastpasses aren't going to work soon either:goodvibes

So will the machines not accept the lifetime fast passes given out by City Hall anymore then? As these look just like the ebay fast passes.:confused3

A few people have tested them & they already no longer work. As of a few days ago it seems.

I can't say I'm too disappointed about this.

I agree it will affect some people who were given the lifetime passes for genuine reasons, but that small number is quite heavily outweighed by the number of ebay fastpasses that are now in circulation...

Hopefully they'll come up with some new kind of lifetime fastpass that requires CM authentication (e.g. a photopass of some kind) that can be given out to genuine cases while still being hard to forge...

This is the new "white ticket" courtesy of HTH2004 over on DCP

Coincidently yesterday the white lifetime tickets weren't producing FP's but the old park passports were.
I'm guessing that they are testing one ticket type at a time, possibly expired APs' or BBWWS show tickets next, but I think we can safely say the loophole is closed, let's hope that in future the FP machines won't be empty by 2.00pm on a busy weekend.

Just to offer a different opinion, I am actually really disappointed about this. It means that we won't consider a trip again to DLRP during the summer/busy periods again, as more time in queues at DLRP = more time spent with ignorant people who think its ok to smoke non-stop whilst stood next to them :sad2:
I really like DLRP in the summer as well, when the fireworks are on. However, it just kills it for me that people think its ok to behave in this way, which you would never find happening in WDW :confused3
I can sympathise with you guys who complain about it being unfair on people without the ebay fastpasses though, as you do have a valid point. I would love it if the guys who do the "Unofficial guide to Walt Disney World" book did a book for DLRP. This would give those who want to do as much as possible each day a legitimate advantage instead, if they are willing to make the effort of getting up early each day.
