Old Park reservations vs the new system

I'm heading to Disney tomorrow and on MDE all my park passes are there, but when I go into the new system they don't show, and I am able to make new ones for the same dates. Then they show as duplicates. So, is this a glitch where I could make reservations for 2 parks in 1 day? Or are my old reservations canceled and I should rebook them?

At least all the parks are wide open, but I don't want to mess up my Remy preview on Monday.

You don't need an Epcot Reservation if you have a confirmed Remy AP Slot.

the system made me an EPCOT reservation with the Remy AP slot, but it's under the "old" system.
For the rest of my park reservations I booked them under the new system to make sure I had them confirmed.

I discovered this as well - we already made park reservations for our November trip using the "old" system and I was just able to add another park reservation using the new system for one of the days. So I now have a reservation for both EPCOT and Magic Kingdom on the same day. In the Park Reservation System only the new one shows.

I just discovered this as well. I now have APR's for HS and Epcot on Sept 26th and AK and HS on Oct 4th. Wondering if I can park hop to Epcot after HS before 2 for lunch 🤔 also, if there were virtual queueing both parks, could I join both???

Unless the hopping rules change, I would not expect to be allowed into your 2nd park much before 2pm...maybe 1:45 or 1:50.

RotR will be a regular queue by that point so no virtual queue at HS.

I realize that Rise is temporarily suspended. Not questioning because I want to do that on Sept 26th. My thought is, if the glitch is due to resort and AP APR's not crossing each other, this could continue into the future. Also, if you have both Park reservations, it wouldn't recognize you as a hopper potentially. Have not seen this before the new system was put in place. Just curious if anyone has tested the capabilities.

What new system? I have My Disney Experience App and it shows everything on my phone or laptop. What's the new system and do I need to get it? Does this have to do with the Genie and Genie+?

I have a similar situation. I made park reservations for MK on 9/24. I have Remy reservations for 3pm that day. They made Epcot reservations for me I guess because I can see them in App. However, we plan on going to MK in the morning and then heading to Epcot after lunch.

The system will probably recognize it as 2 separate reservations. I guess we will see next week.

In this situation, I have heard confirmed reports of people successfully entering Epcot before 2pm. You should be good. This is why I suspect it may work in my situation.

I just made two new reservations and didn't even know there was a 'new' system. But it told me I was annual passholder and needed to make reservations somewhere else (with a link), but then I have a resort reservation and made them under that. And I still have 'old' reservations on my resort reservation that I haven't changed since I made them. Could they make it any more confusing?

My sister went to DHS at park opening on her Remy AP preview day and then walked over to Epcot at 11 and entered - it was recognized as a second park res, there were no issues.

I don’t think you can jump to that conclusion because a separate theme park reservation wasn’t required for the Remy AP previews. The Preview reservation itself allowed entrance to Epcot.

Asking again - what is the "New" system? Is it just for AP holders?

I have park reservations that are showing under my plans and I am not an AP holder. Do I need to do something else?

I thought these showed up as Epcot park reservations (albeit special ones made by Disney for AP holders with a preview) - that's what my sister experienced and what at least one poster has also said above as well...? But maybe there is a way the system distinguishes the AP/Remy res from traditionally made park res, absolutely.

Just to follow up since we were posting about it in another thread, this is what it looks like. EPCOT was my original reservation, I added MK using the new reservation system. It was also this way when we did the Remy preview last month. I think that in the same way the Remy previews worked, that it is entirely possible to have 2 (or more ) park reservations for the same day and be able to use both. For the Remy preview, they just added an EPCOT park reservation for that day, whether you had an existing reservation or not. I would think that with the new system, we will not be able to add multiples like this.

going to bump this up again, wondering if anyone else has come across this? The issue is that we made park reservations back when we made resort reservations and now the 'new', updated park reservation system is allowing us to make additional park reservations for those resort stays. The 'new' park reservation system apparently doesn't recognize the original ones.

Just wondering what happens when we have two for the same day - specifically the Nov 12 that I have in the above post - could I get a Boarding Pass for the Remy ride at 7am, but go to Magic Kingdom in the morning, then head to Epcot (prior to 2pm park hopping)?
