old park hopper question

I have a 7 Day Park Hopper Plus (ages 3-9) from 2003 that we bought for my daughter and we ended up only using 1 day. I know at the time they said it "never" expired. Does anyone know is this is true or how I go about finding out if it is still good. Also, I heard they could possibly be turned in and the remaining value used towards the purchase of a new ticket. Is this true?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!
Lisa

If it's one of the never expire it is true!:woohoo: Just bring it with you and they will run it through at the front desk when you check in and tell you how many days are left:goodvibes. I never throw mine out, since by the end of the trip it's to hard to remember how many days we used. Hope this helps.

I spent ten minutes trying to figure out where to post this question, and imagine my surprise when I finally chose this board only to see that the very first topic at the top is somebody asking (essentially) my same question!

I would like to ask for a clarification or two? I have an old non-hopper pass from several years ago. I bought it from Maple Leaf Tickets two trips ago and it was originally a 10 Day regular pass with the non-expiration option. I used 4 or 5 days on it during that trip, then another 2? days during last year's trip... I think. I'm honestly not sure; I wasn't smart enough to keep track! I KNOW it has some days left on it but I'm not sure how many; could be anywhere from just 1 to as many as 4.

Anyway my question is, exactly where do I need to bring it to find out how many days are left? I'm a bit wary about leaving something as important as tickets to the very last minute and arriving at MCO with no Disney tickets in my pocket. Yes, I am something of a Disney Trip commando! You have to be when you're a solo disabled traveler. I normally buy ALL my tickets in advance. I guess there's absolutely nowhere (Disney store? Mail-in?) I can go to find out how many days are left on my poor battered ticket BEFORE I arrive in Orlando this May?

disney54us, you said that "when you check in" the ticket can be looked at. Er, check in where? At my hotel, I assume? ANY hotel on Disney property or only certain ones? In specifically, is this service offered at DVC properties or only "regular" Disney hotels? I'm staying at either BCV or OKW - yet to be determined - and possibly staying my very first night at the Pop depending on which of the two ressies is used. Do all of those places have a guest counter where somebody can tell me how many days are left on my ticket AND where I can, at the same time, purchase additional days\options? Or can I find out how many days I've got on my existing ticket at the hotel, but then must go to another location to actually buy more days? I ask because transportation is somewhat difficult for me (disabled) - that's why I feel safer doing all of these things in advance.

I apologize for all the questions. I know I'm nitpicking the details, it's just that I have some trouble getting from place to place. I have no car, I must use a scooter to get around Disney property, and I'm traveling alone. So arriving at my hotel to be told that I then have to go somewhere else to get my tickets is a problem - it will mean extra hours spent getting around on the Disney buses (with an ECV) to go the Ticket Center first instead of going directly to the park, which in turn will probably mean I won't be able to hit a park on the first day at all, and that throws off my whole schedule for the week. So on and so forth! I just like to know in advance - where exactly I will have to go, and when.

One last set of questions... I'm so sorry, LOL. Um, as I mentioned, my poor ticket is from several years ago and has survived two Disney trips so far, riding in my wallet and my back jeans pocket and living in my jewelry box in between. It's a bit battered. Okay, a lot battered, and also faded and rumpled from being clutched eagerly in my little hand for hours. It's a wonder they managed to scan the thing at all last time with how bent and curled up it is, and that was a year ago. Will there be any way to exchange it for a new ticket with the same number of remaining days? Or perhaps turn it in and use the value towards my purchase of a new ticket with more days? Any other option than arriving at the park having families behind me glare malevolently as I hold up the line for 5 minutes while the CM desperately scans and re-scans and triple-scans my poor battered ticket that looks like I retrieved it out of a mud puddle and then allowed a small herd of mice to chew on it?

Thank you!

Jenni
