Old paper FP for Primeval Whirl

Does anyone know if there is a way to make use of an old physical FP for Primeval Whirl? Ex. Use it for a different attraction or something?

Backstory: during our past visit a CM overheard my son crying because he was too small to ride PW. She gave him a FP to use someday when he was big enough. He was elated, she made him feel so special He’s now big enough, but alas, PW is no more. I’d love if there was still a way for him to make use of this pixie dust moment that is so special to him.

Go to Guest Relations at Animal Kingdom, show them the FP, explain the Backstory and I feel SURE they will do something!

Yes, Guest Relations is the place to give it a shot. But don't go expecting anything. FP is gone and they are not exactly generous with giving out LL's. Plus there is nothing physical to give out, and, with only one, it wouldn't do you much good anyway unless you already had a LL for whatever attraction.

But they could probably come up with some kind of keepsake to trade for it, like a button or something.

That's an odd one for sure.
You've got a non-replaceable item (FP) for a non-existent ride (PW) so they'd have to come up with replacements for both.
It can't hurt to go to GS with it and see what options they can offer.

If it has come to the point where Disney GR has become that STINGY and doesn't give you a couple of LLs or a "certificate" for a couple of Mickey Premiums,etc. considering your backstory, I will be SHOCKED.

I think you will find that GR will find your Backstory interesting-please let us know what they do for you.

I don't know about GR, I haven't had much dealings with them but the staff at resorts have been extremely generous with LL and such since it started. According to them, they are much easier for them to dole out than it was for them to provide more coveted hard to get FP. With all the Park Reservation combined with ride outage issues there have been more than one occasion where a replacement had to be manipulated to fit plans and they've had no problems doing that.

I think they'll be willing to help. I just wonder if they'll have any ideas. I worry about inexperience with so many new CM. Hopefully, if they encounter someone without the needed experience to figure something out for an old ride/system they'll have someone around to ask.

I'm hoping that GR will give him (and the rest of the family, of course) LL passes for something else that he was too small for before and now is big enough to ride, or at least one of the "big kid" rides like EE. Of course, I can't remember what the height requirement was for PW, so I can't compare it to anything that's currently there! But in any case, here's for a LL that will be fun for him (and all of y'all).

Don't be so sure. Although the back story is great . In our case, we had an issue at disney and was told next time you come you will get three extra FP for two days (or something like that. That trip was in Dec of 19. By the time we got around to another trip, I wrote to disney and was told since fast pass program no longer exist, nothing can be done.

Could definitely be right, but I think being in person standing at the Park GR desk will be successful.

Same with us. Had email confirmation that we had 3 extra FP's to use the next time we were at the park. Just stop by GS.

Covid happened, no FP's exist now, was told too bad so sad (magically, of course ).

Since it's been extremely common to hand out FP's for kids that are too short (usually called Future Rider Cards), I'd be surprised that they replace the attraction with another but I definitely think it's worth a stop by GS. I would! I am hopeful you get a great CM who honors it with another attraction.

If Disney World Guest Relations has arrived at the point where they will listen to your story as you stand there in person and not offer you some form of Pixie Dust I will be FLOORED!

I just don't believe they have become that stingy with their legendary "Magic".

Just returned from a Birthday Trip and had a Card signed by the Characters and Balloons waiting in the room.

So I know,even though they are charging for EVERYTHING these days,Pixie Dust has not been "retired",YET at least!lol

Now I know they can't give EVERYBODY something "extra" like my Birthday gift,but your Story is VERY unique with the Attraction you were "promised" a future ride on having been SCRAPPED!

Can't wait to hear what happens-will be a GREAT test to see if Disney is still Disney!!!!
