Old, Old Tickets

I have a handful of old KTTW, old park tickets, etc. We always used to buy the non-expiration option, so I am pretty sure that at least a few of these tickets have some waterparks days, or maybe the odd park day on them. If I take all of these with me during our upcoming trip, can the club lounge people at WL sort through them and figure out what's left on each one? (My husband will not be with us, so I imagine his cards probably cannot be investigated without his presence there.) Any advice? I would love to once and for all know what we have sitting around on these cards, but I don't want to waste 3 hours of a short trip sitting around at guest services. Thanks!

1. Guest Relations at the parks (inside or outside) can tell you.
2, Not true. Won't matter in the least.
3. It's Guest Relations that you want, and it should not take 3 hours (or even 20 minutes.)
Do the deed in the middle of the day, at some time when you want to take a break.

Thanks Robo! I shall take my handful of collected cards along with a sharpie, and finally get to the bottom of what's left on all these cards! :-)

We have some old tickets from 2000 that are non-expiring and two years ago I went to Guest Services at EPCOT and the CM was extremely helpful and told us how many days were on the tickets.

Now for a question for ROBO...since these tickets still have the magnetic strip, can they be taken to Guest Services and they be transferred to tickets with RFID?

I had luck with doing this at the Old Key West concierge a couple of weeks ago, but my old tickets were at least RFID enabled. I just had no idea to whom they were assigned and how many days they had remaining. I got all of this info in less than 10 minutes at the OKW concierge. I also had tickets that belonged to my husband, and he was not with me either. The concierge was super helpful. I don't know if she would have been able to do anything if I hadn't already updated them to RFID. You might have to go to GR for that, but you could try your resort first.

My BIL brought some paper tix from the '70's from his childhood to guest services. They issued him new day passes for each one he had. He then used these for his children.

Guest Relations.
The tickets can have (but don't need to have) a magnetic stripe for them to be exchanged for a current RFID ticket.

Have a great trip!

AK concierge referred us to guest relations with ticket issues. They are a pretty helpful bunch- but that isn't technically the job of guest services- so I figured it was that way across the board with all concierge staff. Now that I know others have had some luck, we will ask about current ticket related issues once we return this December.

Guest Services (AKA Resort Concierge) doesn't have access to the the same computer files that does Guest Relations (at the parks & DTD.)
That's why many ticket matters (including APs) cannot be handled by the Resort Concierge.

I did it at the front desk of OKW last July. And I was able to assign any ticket to anyone in my family even if they weren't there (except child tickets needed to be assigned to the kids). They also told me what was left on each before I assigned them. Actually, I didn't even have physical tickets, all I had was receipts from when I added non-expiring option to them. I wasn't sure if they could do anything, but all were assigned.

We have quite a few also from previous trips that I believe have water park days from both DH and myself as well as my kids. They are grown now, but I would love to see what is left. Maybe we could use the old children's options for our grandsons. Thanks for asking this question. I have always wanted to do this, but I probably have at least 12 tickets and didn't want to be a bother. I think I am going to have to take ours for our upcoming trip!

Thank you!!! Mom and dad will be in Florida for 3 months (January through March) and they are going to take a trip or two to Orlando from Daytona and stop at Guest Relation at DTD to get those tickets exchanged to RFID.

You can email Disney customer service. They will ask you to scan your tickets and ID and send it to them. They can tell you which tickets are what and how many days you have left. This way you know before you go.
