I saw a report that the current sailing of the Fantasy that the Muster Drill is back to being in person.

I am just off the 11/4 Wish sailing where it was still just check in and watch the video.

Are there any other reports of the old muster drill being back? My son is autistic and the old drill is harder for him so trying to prepare now if it’s back for our Dec 5th Dream sailing.

On the Wish in mid-October. We checked in to our station and listened to a video. However at 4:15p there was a traditional muster that if you already checked-in previously then didn't need to attend. It's for people who either couldn't understand the new method or preferred the muster.

I read somewhere (likely here lol) it was going to return 11/20 to normal. Our Palo server confirmed it was returning, but not sure where Palo server rates in reliability ...less than bus driver? More? It really does not comply with the spirit of an effective safety drill, so won't be surprised if it indeed returns to the old way.

I’ve heard it’ll be back soon because people abused it and would send one person to check in

As of this week, it is still the new way, but it will return to the dreaded old way soon. I suppose it makes some sense to do it the proper way, but it was nice while it lasted.

We have sailed 4 times with the new muster drill procedure. We were told only 1 person from the stateroom had to the online mister drill. If DCL wanted everyone to do the drill, they did not make it very clear!

And it wouldn't be that hard to make everyone check in.

Every time we've checked in the CM ask if our entire party was present, but only 1 had to do the scan. :confused3 Maybe too many were skipping the video.

I was hoping the new muster would be one of the good things to come out of Covid
Well, it may be back to the new way along with many other changes that people did NOT like if the current situation with Princess spreads.

According to the president of cruise operator Carnival Australia, "All cases were either asymptomatic or mildly symptomatic." The cases were found only because everyone onboard was tested.

No need to overreact.

Found some dates online:
Today for Dream and Fantasy
November 20th for the Magic
November 14th for the Wish
November 16th for the Wonder.

Boo, hiss, was fun while it lasted!

Can something be both helpful/informative and an awful post of bad news? If so, this fits that bill. I knew it was coming, but that doesn't make it any easier to accept.
