Old Magic Bands/Fastpass plus Loophole Closed?

Was the old one day ticket a ticket that had never been used, or a non-expiring ticket that had one day remaining?

I have some partially used paper non-expiring tickets that have never been assigned to a MDE account. If I could assign them to an MDE account and still be able to reassign them until they are actually used again for park entry, that would be a great way "store" them.

The ticket was a one day ticket we got when we booked a FD trip many years ago. I'll let a ticket pro tell you if it will work with partially used paper non-expiring tickets. I would guess it should work. Have fun and happy FP hunting. Nothing beats walking into MK loaded with 9 FPs per person!!! i guess 12 would be better....

@nooneshome - @dismedvc already tried the Thread.

@dismedvc - link those old leftover hopper tickets to a third set/sub grouping in your MDE account. You can use them for FP Generators and when you get to the park, convert the tickets to hard tickets. Use the hard tickets at the FP lines and never use them to enter the park until you need to do so.

OK, I read the ScrapYap post and discussion is closed. So I'll ask here just to clarify...

If I order 3 Magic Bands from the Disney Store, and DO NOT link them to the MDE account with my tickets/resort, I can use them as same day FP? I would just make a second MDE account under my husband's email and link the additional bands there. Then we'd be set up and ready for park kiosks? Yes?

No need for a 2nd MDE. Add 3 phantoms to your MDE and link the newly purchased MBs there.

You'll be able to check and manipulate your real and phantom FPs from one MDE account.

For those with experience actually doing this, would it be worth it at Busy Times of the year? I would think that FP+ for the most wanted rides/attractions would be gone and only those that aren't typically used for advance FP are used would be left? We have always gone to WDW the first 2 weeks of September when it's been fairly slow so never had an issue riding rides multiple times using FP or just waiting 5-10 minutes or walking on. We however just booked a last minute trip and are going to go over Spring Break (I guess we are crazy) and just figured we would use our FP+ that we booked already and then wing it since we have basically seen everything anyway. This is just a surprise for the kids. Id be willing to spend the extra $$ and buy extra bands as we already have an MDE in my husbands name and email and our trip is booked under mine, but then again if nothing is really left to get a FP for, is it worth it? Anyone know how many WDW allocates for advance FP and SDFP?

From the info that can be observed:

All FP+ are made available at 60 days (+) in advance (for those staying on-site.)
Those not on-site have access at 30 days in advance.
No FP+ selections are held back.
Whatever selections are still available day-of (SDFP) are the reminder what has not been pre-booked (or what gets dropped near to or on the day-of by those who have pre-booked.)

Okay I know this has been gone over like beating a dead horse but, this is my scenario:

Me and my wife are going to Disney Dec of 2016, we have two new bands coming in the mail. (I have never been she went march of 2014). If we use my mother in laws and sister in laws bands will we be able to get 3 more FP's apiece? also will we be able to pre book them at 60 days, 30 days, or just in the park at a kiosk?

MIL's and SIL's MBs can be used to book only at a FP kiosk.

So the "4th" FP+ (and 5th and 6th) is alive and well, just under the radar?

We have picked FP+ at kiosks on arrival some days lately with good luck, at least in the am. If we have extra bands it would be double or more correct?

I don't see how they are "under the radar". This quote is right on the MDE section with your FP+ reservations: "Note: Once you redeem your initial set of FastPass+ selections (or the last arrival window has passed), you can make another FastPass+ selection for the same day at an in-park kiosk, up to park closing. Learn more."

Correct, as long as those bands are not clones of the ones you are already using. That is, they are linked to a different MDE account or a different person on your own account.

Not what I meant. I meant the "success" (or lack there of) of getting a good 4th FP+.

I see threads about not getting a 4th FP+, or at least a good 4th FP+. Not that many threads about "I got my 4th/5th/6th FP+ when I entered the park" threads.

But this sounds like you can get that 4th/5th/6th upon entering the park no?

Yea that's what it sounds like, just wondering why doesn't everyone do this to get a 4th/5th/6th as soon as you enter?

A "4th/5th/6th FP" is generally considered to be those obtained after the original 3 FP are used/expired for a standard one MB per user guest.

Those FPs obtained by using a second (etc.) MB per guest are more often called "extra FPs"
as in the title of this thread.

See Robo's response. I agree, I don't think of those as my "4th/5th/6th".

As to your last question, most guests do not have multiple magic bands, and/or don't know enough about the system to know the advantages of linking any extras to a different account/person.

Ok I get that, I just meant you can get 6 FP+ now, 3 ahead of time and 3 on arrival.

So if you walk into MK with 3 scheduled FP+, then take a second band of yours on arrival and get 3 more FP+, you don't call that having 6 FP+?

I guess you can call it a "2nd" first FP+, and a "2nd" second FP+ and a "2nd" third FP+.

Usually it's referred to as a 2nd set of 3 FPs which is also equivalent to 6 FPs. :)

Either way we will be getting 6 as well from now on-system just keeps getting better. pixiedust:

3 on arrival, and 3 scheduled at a 2nd park that evening. :worship:

This will be great for AK. One day each trip arrive and get FP+, then DHS with FP+ that night. Then arrive one day at DHS and get FP+, with FP+ that evening for AK with ROL and eventually Pandora. :dancer:
