Old key west resort

My family of ten will be going to WDW in June and will be staying at Old Key West and was wondering how the accommodations were and how the rooms were as well

Old Key West is the original DVC property. The rooms are a bit bigger than most of the other villas. You may find it really useful to go to allears.net and check out some of the room video tours. That's what we did before booking to give us a good idea for a feel of the rooms and resort!

We just got back from Old Key West resort and really liked it, had a 2 bed room with only 4 adults so it seemed huge. Using all the sleeping options you can sleep 9 in the unit, we loved the patio with a ceiling fan helped keep the bugs away. Bus transportation was good never had to wait more then 10 minutes at the most.

Hi. Double r, could you post some photos? I would love to see photos of the rooms. How long did it take you to get to the parks? Thanks.

OKW is our home Vacation Club resort and we've stayed there on a continual basis since 1992.

The rooms are larger than almost any other WDW resort. IT is also a very quiet resort the way it is laid out--almost like a fine apartment complex. Bus service to all the parks is good and if you have a car (which we always do) you can park literally in front of your own building.

PLus there are several pools and Olivias for B-L and D!!

We will be staying at OKW this summer for the first time. Our home resort is AKV, but we like to stay at other resorts as well, so that we can experience all that WDW is all about...
So, that being said, we have decided to not go to any parks. Does anyone know what there is to do there, besides stuff at the Hospitality House?

We stayed there last time and I couldn't believe how big the rooms were. (The bathroom was also huge.) Beds were very comfortable. The resort was very quiet. We also enjoyed the quiet pool. We stayed there for about 2 hours and only 1 other person came to the pool, so we sort of felt like we had our own private oasis! Bus rides were not bad, but since we were one of the last stops, it seemed to take forever to get back to our room at the end of the day but very fast at the ride at the beginning of the day.
