Old Key West Questions

We have had to postpone our upcoming trip. We were staying at AKV; now we will be at OKW. We have stayed at OKW before and liked it a lot. We stayed near the hospitality house and liked having access to everything. This time, we weren't able to get that category. Which buildings that are not near the hospitality house are the closest to this area? Also, does anyone have any other areas they would recommend? We want easy access to bus transportation and also access to any fishing areas there. I know you can fish in the pond under the bridge, but are there any other locations? My DSs who love to fish will have their own rods and reels.

This building does look convenient. I had already called to request Building 62 or 16 which back up to the water where our boys like to fish. The CM also put down 17 or 18, but those look so far from the HH or Peninsula Rd. bus stops, which are the ones we want to use. I think I'll call back Tuesday and drop those buildings and add 27. Thanks!

ETA: Oh no! I just read something about how buildings lower than 30 have no access to a bathroom from the living area. This will not work for us since we are taking my DS20's girlfriend, and she will be using the pull-out sofa. She will need access to a bathroom. Any other recommendations? Are Buildings 63 and 64 quiet? They look like they back up to the security kiosk and road.

I LOVE 63 and 64. They are pretty close to HH, and they overlook a fun hole on the golf course. There is a pretty intense water hazard to clear to get to the green, it is fun to watch the balls/golfers come in. Building 64 is my favorite.

I am fond of building 64 too! You might want to consider it also.

You can't fish near Bldg 16 or 62 because that puts you on the golf course. You have to stay off the course unless you are playing golf. I think you can fish on the Trumbo Canal.
