we own at bwv, but we are taking the whole family, and our babysitter with us to old key west over the memorial day holiday for a week. this is my question.....we are getting a grand villa; the babysitter is going to sleep on the floor of our master suite. can we request a roll away bed? is there a cost associated with it? if so, we will bring an inflatable mattress.

also, does the bus system work pretty good? i'm worried that we will have to wait a long time.

thanks!

I didn't think any DVC resort had roll-away beds available. OKW does NOT have any.

Keep in mind that a one bedroom accommodates 4 people and a child in a crib.

If you are getting a GV that sleeps 12, are you sure you need a floor sleeper?

At any rate, you would have to bring an inflatable, because none of the DVCs (as stated earlier) have roll away beds. I know saying a unit sleeps 12 and actually getting the right combination of people to fit 12 people in the 6 beds provided is difficult sometimes. We have done it by using the sofa and love seat cushions on the floor for teens etc. who didn't want to sleep together. In the 1 or 2 bedroom units, the laundry is large enough to put an air bed in, but the GV laundry is not big enough for that.

yes, we are staying in a grand villa. when we just stayed at the grand floridian, we saw rollaway beds in the maid's room, that's why i asked.

i think we will just bring the inflatable.

thanks!
