Are there any rooms at OKW that have a view of Epcot (specifically Spaceship Earth)? If so, are these rooms close or far from the Hospitality House?

No, none of the buildings at OKW have a view of Epcot. The higher Illuminations fireworks may be seen from some balconies, but none can see any of the structural elements at EC.

Some (mostly in South Point) can see the high fireworks at PI (at least for another few weeks).

The fireworks at PI will end after 12/31. They are doing one last big show that night for New Year's Eve, and then doing away with it completely. Word is that they are taking down the stage and removing many of the clubs on the water-side of the street to make way for a complete refurbishment of PI.

We were in building 47 and could see the higher Illuminations fireworks to the left of us and the higher Wishes fireworks straight ahead

There are places all over WDW where a partial view of the fireworks can be seen or a drift of the music can be heard.
If you really want to see and hear an entire park's firework show from a vantage viewing point at a WDW resort; stay in a MK resort for MK Wishes and an Epcot resort for Illuminations and partial Fantasmic viewing.

Sure.....but not in the privacy of relaxing and sitting out on your balcony. It was so nice to sit out on the balcony, having dessert at OKW and see and hear Illuminations. Of course there are other places to see the shows in full, such as in the parks. But what a nice perk to see/hear it from our OKW balcony. We saw enough that it made it a very special time for us. We stayed at BWV a couple years ago and didn't even have as nice a view. I'm sure there are rooms at BWV/BCV that have better views, but you have to be lucky enough to secure them.

We saw less when we stayed at the WL (and stayed there several times over the years). So I don't feel this is necessarily a sure thing ?

I know one year we were in building 43 (can't recall the room) and then last year we were in bldg 62 and I'm thinking something like 6246 ? I'll have to look that up for you. We also had a nice view of a small lake from our balcony.

I agree. At BWV, we had a great view of the fireworks at Epcot. We also stayed at VWL and watched the fireworks along with the boat parade.

Do you know if the fireworks can be seen from the WL deck above the covered entrance? I remember seeing chairs positioned toward the MK and wondered if this might be a good fireworks observation area.

I hardly think we're visiting different wdw's ???
I can honestly say my views were not great at BWV. Maybe you and Pat got BW view rooms ? Or just better placed rooms ? YOu can't honestly say all the views at BWV have good views of the fireworks can you ? Well, I got one of those.
As for the WL. Once we could see the MK fireworks barely, over the tops of the pine trees. This was 5th floor WL with a main courtyard view. We also could watch the ELP. I, personally, had a MUCH better view of Illuminations from my OKW balcony than what I got of Fantasy in the Sky at the WL. The other 2 times we stayed at the WL I had the view of the Villas courtyard/pool area. Couldn't see any fireworks at all.
The best shot of any fireworks/light show I ever had at WDW from a wdw resort, was at the Contemporary during a stay in the Towers. Now that was phenominal. All the experiences I mentioned were from the balcony of my room.
It is possible that different people can visit WDW and have entirely different experiences but it still be the same WDW, ya know Sorry if I diss'd BWV/BCV or something. Not my intention, as I did mention that I'm sure that some rooms have great park views, but no way does EVERY room get this ? I've read many reports here on the DIS of people not getting good views at the Epcot area resorts ? So I'm not the only one with less-than-stellar views and I can assure you, we are going to the same WDW.

We have heard and seen Epcot fireworks from quite a few OKW locations. BTW, we have only had one less than desireable general view from any OKW location, while we have had plenty at other resorts. True, we don't get a direct view of any park icons, but the views are spectacular none the less. I particularily like the water views at OKW.

With regards to MK fireworks, if you book a lagoon view room at the Polynesian you will most certainly have an absolutely wonderful view of Wishes.

Every room we've had on the Epcot side of BCV has afforded us a partial view of Illuminations. I think about half of the rooms are on that side and you stand a pretty good chance of getting one in our experience because there are others who request the pool view.

My friends, who are BCV owners, got a view of a road or something they were telling me ? They leave again on Tuesday for BCV and, being that BCV is their home resort, I hope they get an Epcot view this time. I don't believe an Epcot view is guaranteed like with BWV for owners there ?
