Hi guys. We are taking our first DVC trip in Jan. I have a few questions about OKW.

1. How big is the fridge? Is it like the small dorm size you get at the Coronado, or a half size???? How tall and wide would you say it is? My dd had Food Allergies, and I need to know what I have to work with there. Also, what kind of cups, plates, silverware is there? plastic, stonewear. Do they have plastic knives and napkins in the rooms?

2. Is a pack and play crib already in the room or do you have to request one?

3. Does the vacuum have the hose attachment? We are thinking about buying the space saver packing bags, but if the vacuum in the room cant suck out the air---there is no point in buying them.

Thank you all so much for any help!

What size villa are you staying at? Studio?

What size room are you getting?

A studio will have mid-size dorm fridge, about 30" tall, maybe 20" to 2 feet wide. Small freezer compartment that doesn't work well to actually "freeze" but will keep things extra cold.

Pack N Play should be in he closet, if not call housekeeping.

Vacuum does not have attachments, it is a standard upright.

A 1 bedroom or larger villa will have a full sized fridge and laundy facilities.

We are staying in a studio. Does anyone know how much an extra fridge will cost? Can you get an extra fridge?

Thank you all for your help

there is no room for a standard refrigerator.

this is much, much bigger than the ones at the resort.

it is an under the counter refrigerator.

here is a picture

This is an under counter fridge much like you would have in a home bar. It is significantly larger than a dorm fridge or the ones at the other regular Disney resorts. It's not portable, and I'm quite sure they don't have any portable ones available. There will even be a small freezer compartment in it for ice cream and ice cubes. There will be plenty of room for a gallon of milk as well as quite a few foods that might have to also be refridgerated.

BTW, if you need a lot more room than would be in a studio fridge, you might want to try a 1 bedroom villa where there will be a full sized kitchen, fridge, stove, dishwasher, microwave etc, etc.

A studio will have a few ceramic coffee mugs and a few glasses. Paper plates and bowls. Plasticware (knives, spoons, forks). Microwave, toaster and coffee pot.

The freezer of the undercounter refrigerator is not that good, so don't plan on keeping frozen food like ice cream frozen.

You'll have two queen sized beds. In the closet you'll have the pack and play and the upright vacuum cleaner. Plus an ironing board and iron.

May I suggest you just buy the 2 gallon Hefty Zip Lock bags instead of those space saver things. My experience has been that they work the same and Hefty's cost less... None of them seem to hold up for any length of time.

Also, when using this packing method if flying PAY ATTENTION to weight. It is very easy to go over 50 lbs with the big suitcase and the baggie method. The airlines will charge you for the extra weight.

I am going to try the baggie method.... Also, thanks a bunch for the pic of the fridge... It is much lager than the ones at the other resorts. It will be perfect. Thank you for the info on the room contents ie silverware, iron, ect.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here's a photo of the kitchenette area at BWV's. All the resorts are similar with mostly decor differences.
