My nephew is coming with us on our vacation. He has an old childs hopper pass, that he got when he was 8 but now he is 14. I already asked whether he can use that pass & apparently he can. My question now is:

He has some of the Plus Admission things left, I read that they are not accepted at Disney Quest, is that true? We are planning on a couple trips there, so if it's not included in his old PLUS pass, I will have to make sure we plan accordingly. I think his pass is from 1998 or 1999.

His mom thought that it would never expire and that you could use it for admission to anything that was covered at that time (when they bought the tickets). I'm hoping it's true.

I "think" he has the plus options that only included Blizzard, Typhoon, Pleasure Island and Wide World of Sports. The time frame which you think the ticket is from would support that, as Disney Quest was not a part of the original "options". There was a later ticket that added DQ to the options, but it was added in early 2000, if my memory serves.

They went to Disney Quest using the tickets on their trip. They went July 1999. I just called her to make sure that Disney Quest was included, and she said yes.

Do you know of a website that talks about the old hopper plus tickets and what they can be used for now?

Ok just checked old tickets (on allearsnet. com...another thanks to Deb for such a great web page.) Disney Quest opened in 1998 and was not a part of any of the tickets (it was a seperate admission price). In 1999 they changed to the Park hopper plus tickets which Disney Quest was not an option on either, it was just Blizzard, Typhoon, Pleasure Island and Wide World of Sports. If he still has plus options you can still use them for one of these locations, but DQ was not an "plus" option in 1998/1999. Quest was an option on the Length of Stay passes, but those expired at the end of the stay.

Perhaps she bought Quest tickets and does not remember as Quest was not included in the options for the Hopper plus passes (It was an options for the Length of Stay passes, Unlimited Magic Pass, Ultimate Park Hopper...these are all the same pass just had name changes over the years, but as mentioned expired at the end of the stay). Quest was added on to the "Plus Pack" when Magic Your Way Rolled out, but was not an option on a non expiring ticket prior to that.

The Park Hopper Plus included: 5-7 days (depending on the ticket purchased)of park hopping between the theme parks for one person. Also included 2-4 "plus visits" (depending on the amount of days purchased) valid for a single admission to your choice of TL, BB, RC (until it closed), WWoS or PI. This type of ticket was introduced in 1998 and Discontinued at the end of 2004.

Thank you for the info! I will plan on only ONE trip to Disney Quest then :)

If you want to go Disney Quest, better to do it soon, as Disney Quest will be making way for the ESPN Club that's moving to Downtown Disney in the place of Disney Quest. I not sure when it will close but it will likely be within a year if not sooner.

Disney Quest is NOT included on most older Park Hopper Plus passes.

If you have an old Park Hopper Plus pass, I would generally make the assumption that "No, it's not included" - as the only old PHP passes that included Disney Quest were some older promotional tickets that either came with a sepperate Disney Quest ticket - or say specifically on the ticket "Park Hopper Plus +DQ" - which would be only one visit to DQ, and whatever many plusses for the water parks and PI. With the normal Park Hopper Plus tickets, the plus options are only good for the Water Parks and Pleasure Island, and would not include Disney Quest.

Disney Quest was not generally "included'' on the tickets until the Magic Your Way tickets. Disney Quest is included in the Magic Your Way "Magic Plus Pack" (MPP) and the Magic Your Way "Water Park Fun and more pack" (FUN).

Also, Don't be so sure on Disney Quest closing. This rumor has been around for a couple years now, and it's always been "look for DQ to close within the year" - well, it's still here. Disney Quest also just spent a boatload of money here within the past year and a half - which makes closing it even more unlikely. I know quite a few people at Downtown Disney - and when I asked around a couple months ago - all said that the Disney Quest to ESPN thing was purely a rumor. So take that for what it's worth....
