Hey all! Do you guys remember an attraction at Epcot that had veggies singing? I barely remember this from when I was a kid and just wondering what happened to it or maybe I'm just imagining it was there!

I bet you're talking about Food Rocks in the Land Pavillion. I have a vague memory of this from my first trip.

*Food Rocks*! It was cheesy, but we liked it. I can sing the songs by heart, we saw that show so many times. I'm sure I have it on tape somewhere!

I don't miss it so much that I wish Soarin' was gone though. It's a bazillion times better. :)

That's it! I thought it was older than that but guess not. It was so cheesy but funny.

It is older than that. Before Food Rocks, there was Kitchen Kabaret, which is what you might be thinking of. That's the one I remember. :teeth: I never saw Food Rocks.

I still love it!! Have it on an old "album" (not CD or tape so you know it is old!) Has to be at least 15 years ago since I haven't been back since!!

Thanks for bringing back some good memories.
The first time we came to WDW, my oldest DD was 4. She thought Bonnie Appetite (the hostess of the show) was just great.

Ah, Kitchen Kabaret 10/1/82 -1/3/94 :thumbsup2
starring Bonnie Appetit
and featuring:
The Dairy Goods: Milk Carton Crooner & his Stars of the Milky Way:
Miss Cheese, Miss Yogurt & Miss Ice Cream;

Boogie Woogie Bakery Boy (the Toast of the Town);

The Cereal Sisters: Rennie Rice, Connie Corn & Mairzy Oats;

The Fiesta Fruit: Banana trio, Pineapple, Mango, Apple, and Peach;

A comic interlude: Mr Ham & Mr Eggs;

The Colander Combo: Tomato on drums, Brocolli on carrots, and Eggplant on onions;

And of course the Kitchen Krackpots: Salsa on piano, Barbecue Sauce on bass, Mayonaise on cans, Parmesan Cheese on banjo, Mustard on the straw

(Due to dietary concerns and contractual obligations Spaghetti Sauce and Salad Dressing replaced Mayo and BBQ (resp) early ‘90’s)

ahhh Kitchen Kabaret....one of my most favorite WDW memories! I think my olders sisters wanted to murder me because I wanted to see it over and over again. And of course, sing the song all the way home! Good times. Thanks for reminding me. :cloud9:

I LOVED Kitchen Kabaret. I had a stuffed Broccoli with the shades. I actually have it on video somewhere, but it's on VHS. It would take awhile to encode it. Might get to it one of these days.

omg...i LOVED this when i was a kid...well when i was little anyway since i still consider myself a kid (21)! i knew all the words. it was great! i have it on VHS somewhere too. i was so upset when they changed it to food rocks bc it wasn't the same. even though i wound up enjoying that too it was just different if you know what i mean. anyway...very good memories, thanks for bringing them back to me! :banana: :thumbsup2
