I wonder if my Uncle still has this video tape? Would be fun to see!
These photos were taken with slide film and scanned by me - with no technical ability so sorry for the poor quality.

My aunt and uncle had a video camera similar in the early to middle 80's.

Love those old photos! Thanks for sharing jegsnakkernorsk!

How strange it is to see someone in the background with a cigarette in his mouth? And on the left side it looks like someone is barefoot???

There use to be a lot of cigarette smoking at Disney World. This may sound weird, but even now sometimes when I smell cigarette smoke, I think of Disney World! :confused3:rotfl::confused3

I found some pictures while sorting out my spare room yesterday. These were from 1996 so not that old, but still fun to see a few new pics hey? I had to take digital pictures of these as I don't have a scanner, so sorry about the quality! (also sorry about some of the picture taking... I was 13 years old and it was my first film camera :thumbsup2)

I really enjoyed your photos as 1996 was our first visit, when I was 15 :goodvibes

This thread is really cool so I found some pictures that I took in 1978 when I was there with my girl scout troop. I was 14. I have pics from Ft. Wilderness, Discovery Island, River Country, and MK. I don't have any interesting pics or I would post them. I know that I went to Disney with my parents in 75 or 76 but I don't have any pics. I went again in 1982 on a band trip and it was the 10th anniversary. I will try to post pics.

I am not aware of any place in the parks that does this. I remember some time ago there used to be a place that was part of Downtown Disney (I think), but I don't think there's anything like this at Disney anywhere anymore.

I was just curious which question you were answering. :)

I now have all my/our Disney trips up on SmugMug including my 1979 trip. They can be accessed using the Disney link below.

Many of the 1979, 1990s pictures are earlier in this thread but I have finally scanned and uploaded them to this link. Now I have to label them :lmao:

Still enjoying this thread!

I posted these a while back (like on page 4 or 5) but just in case you didn't start from the beginning of this thread, here they are again:

ummmm..... Yes! in a bad way.... he looks down right scary!! :scared1:

wow some of these photos brought back memories i forgot about. Most old pics are buried in my mom's house. Though this weekend i came across parking tickets from early nineties. Parking was $4

I scanned lots of Magic Kingdom map and brochures and some A and B and C tickets from my 1979 trip as well as maps etc. from my 1990s trips. You can find them in the Disney link below.

There's a list of which attractions were considered "E" ticket and so on as well as pictures of the "Pepto Bismol" castle of 1997.

I only got as far as page 10 so far, but wanted to post my observations..go back and look at those first 10 pages of pics and you will see a lot less "water buffalos" We ,Americans, have sure let our bodies fall apart. The next interesting thing is people are wearing clothes. Their bodies are in better shape, and they still have the decency not to wear clothes(or bikinis or halter tops) or other variety of clothes that let the good times roll out.

Um, pickles, looking at the, er, skimpy clothing the MEN are wearing, I can't help but wonder: did a teenager in 2010 have it better or HER mom?:rotfl: It cracks me up that a few of the pics look like a contest of "I'm wearing less than you!":rotfl2:

I may have to disagree with you. I think what men use to wear was way to revealing! Those short "hot pant" shorts...haha! :rotfl2: No one needs or want to see all that...haha!! :rotfl: I don't want to see that much of any man! I'm glad that has changed!! I can't imaging seeing men in those getting in and out of rides....haha!! Woah!! :rotfl2:

Fairy_tale_bride, I have this to say: there is nothing more horrifying than going through family photo albums from the 1970s and seeing your dear father in orange hot pants! I cannot believe M E N wore them but some of the pictures posted on this thread have tragically proven that men did wear them! Makes me wonder if any older women are having a LOT of fun looking at these pictures!
I have this to add: I've never been soooooo glad to be a child of the 80s. Oh, and I did stumble across some pics of my parents' first apartment just after they got married. The decor and furniture screamed "WE ARE HIPPIES!!" And horror of horrors: even at work, my boss said he was a Hippy too! Makes me wonder: there was a Disneyland so is there a Hippyland anywhere?:scared1:
