Probably a silly question but for the Mickey's Trick or Treat do you have to have a normal park ticket plus a ticket for the event? Or can you just have the ticket for the party? I'm just trying to work out a budget for this in hopes that we'll be able to go. I'd love to take the girls to the party that Friday but not the parks (wouldn't be worth it for only about 2-3 hours).

I'm one of the "maybe" people, and we would definitely prefer to do Goofy's over Minnies! I prefer more of the brunch food that they have rather than the straight breakfast options at Minnies.

Yeah, after looking at the menu it does sound better!

Heather - we're good with whatever :thumbsup2

Good! Hopefully Bridgette won't mind switching.

Cupcakes?!?!?!?! :hyper: :hyper:

I know! January, you've started something. I mean, who doesn't need a cupcake for breakfast every now and then! :rotfl:

You just need the ticket for the party - they won't let you in early, but they close DCA early anyway. Tickets were under $30 each too :thumbsup2

I think the boys & I are going to do a character breakfast on Friday. Either Lil & Stitch or Goofy's. Jordan & Kaeleb might not want to dine at Minnies, just given the name. They are not going to the park that day, just to the party on Friday night. So we might catch a movie & hangout at the pool all day until we head to Mickeys ToT party.

YAY January! I hope you get to come.

Dave, Ty and I will be arriving midday on Thursday the 23rd and staying until early-mid afternoon on Sunday the 25th.

I definitely plan on doing the Friday night MTOTP, and you can count us in for the BBQ for sure. If breakfast moves to Goofy's we will attend that too, but I have had two bad experiences at Minnie's and I am in no rush to go back. Heather, I KWYM about the "classic" characters, and honestly I think that Goofy's has a better selection. On our last trip to Minnie's (which I swear will be our last) we had Gepetto, a penguin from Mary Poppins, and Max (Goofy's son) come to our table and Ty was not familiar with any of them. We saw Captain Hook, Eeyore and Minnie from afar (neither one came to our area in the hour and 45 minutes we sat there). The only characters Ty knew that we saw were Chip 'n Dale and Pooh bear, and we can see them anytime at the Visa meet n greet and the 100 acre wood character spot respectively.

Oh, for those who were asking about the price for the Magicale tasting, the price of a single glass as of yesterday was $14.50 plus tax, which brought it up to $15.77. But, it is so delicious!!! And, I got my glass yesterday from the outside wine bar, so I don't know if you can buy a whole bottle in WCT, but it's probably at least a little bit cheaper that way.

Are you all staying at the Hojo? I looked on their site and they are only doing the ENT rate on the 22 and 25. So...just curious if any of you were able to get it for the whole weekend?

The bottle of Magicale is $45 at WCT :thumbsup2 Makes it a bit less expensive when shared between a few friends.

We were able to get the entertainment rate from Oct 22-26 for each night. Actually, I have two rooms booked in bldg 1 for this rate because my sister was going to come, but she's not now. Are you trying to book this bldg January?

I did make a ressie for Nqq3 because it was the cheapest I could find. I booked for 22-25. It came out to be $295 total. I would love to stay through the 26th. I need to talk to DH. So far, he has agreed to book since they don't charge anything up front. How much did you pay?

Thanks for the info Jane! Our little ones are so close in age, and I'll take your advice. I think I have enough votes for Goofy's now to just change it. I'd love to spend some time with you all in the park if you're interested. Maybe we can see Playhouse Disney or go to flicks fun fair together or something the boys will all like. :)

I know that Stacielee got the ent rate for the whole also. I'd say book it, and keep checking. You never know when a new date will pop up.

You all have talked this wine up so much, I hope I love it as much as you do. I can't wait to try it. :woohoo:

Hey all! I must have been living under a rock because I totally missed this post by Mary Jo. http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2159539 I'm thinking a bad apple has spoiled the bunch here, and they are now not allowing us to officially do anything on the dis related to the swapping of money. I just wanted to make you all aware of the change in case you've been under the rock with me!

Each NQQ1 room was $363.40 total for the four nights :thumbsup2

It is super yummy and I can't wait to have it again :woohoo:

I can't wait to compare it to rosa. Rosa is the same grape and it's lovely - a sweet dessert wine with natural bubbles!

We can still do planning for tours and such, we just can't post the details on the thread. I guess some people had bailed on PhotoPass shares, etc., so they had to stop the shares........... bummer.

If you decide on Goofy's we'd love to have you join us. Ty is such a cutie!!

I'm glad I don't drink wine! Almost $16 for a glass is a lot. lol

January, I booked my HoJo room awhile ago, and got the ET rate for the 22nd-25th. I have a room in building one for $79 a night.
I'll probably cancel the 22nd though, and just come in on the 23rd.

I talked with her in a PM about this for our Feb trip and we can still do sign ups for the photopass, tours, etc. but when it comes time for payment, the person in charge will have to send out PMs and handle it privately. :thumbsup2

If I watch Fantasmic it will probably be like I did last time. I don't think the dessert seating is in my budget either.

Can I just stick with you and try our luck at finding decent seats? I can't afford dessert seating either.

I'll leave it up in the air for now. The only other people that were definite for Minnie's were Theresa and Bridgette. I'd like to hear what she wants to do before I change. I don't mind, either way, I'd have great company! :thumbsup2

Also, maybe the ones who said maybe to Minnie's would rather do Goofy's. We have time to decide.

I wouldn't mind ditching Minnie's! I'm down for whatever!

If you decide on Goofy's we'd love to have you join us. Ty is such a cutie!!

I drink, but yes it is a lot. I prefer my wine dry but I'll give it a try!

It is worth the $16 a glass!! But its much better sharing a bottle amongst friends.

I am so excited about the trip in October.
I love Halloween. The boys are getting the Ca city pass, I have heard Universal is fun during October.
Bridgette I can't wait to meet you either.

Sure. I usually get there early and I can save some room. No one has to wait with me the whole time. When I camp out, I really camp out. Last time the show started at 9:30 and I got there a little before 5. LOL But anyone is welcome to join me later on in the evening.

Hmmmm, although come to think of it, I'm not sure how good of spots we'll get because the BBQ is around 5, and will probably take an hour or more. So if I'm not getting to the seating area until around 6 or 6:30, all the front and center seats will be gone.

Oh well, I'll just see what's left by then I guess. No biggie.

I love Halloween.
Me too!!! :yay:

I just hope that Saturday isn't as packed as it was last year when we went. It was a zoo on the weekends last October. :scared:

I posted the pic I took of the crowds on our trip thread awhile back and scared poor Heather. :rolleyes1 :rotfl:

Yes, the pic was scary!!!! :scared1::scared1::scared1:

That's also the reason why I am considering the dessert seating, but we will see. I might not have the money for it by then. I mean I can't have everything I want, right? One thing though, I think Goofy's and the BBQ are going to be the only official sit down meals of the trip (for my family). Dining with my children can be...well...interesting. We are working on it though. The crowds that day are also why I'm big on getting there early for MM, and then spend a couple of hours, and then go. If we eat at Goofy's, stroll through DTD, and then go back to the HoJo for a nap, we will be avoiding most of the weekend crowds. Then we will come back for Beth's dinner, and then make our way around for a little while before Fantasmic!.

We are arriving at DLR Wed morning, so that gives us Wed and Thurs where the crowds will hopefully be not too bad. Friday should be ok also. We probably won't spend a lot of time in the park Friday day so that we can rest up for the party.

Hmmmm....maybe we will have another sit down meal Wed or Thursday now that I think about it.

Well, that's my plan of attack...not that I've thought about it much! :rotfl:

.

Deb, I believe that.

Beth, that is usually high. Because it is exclusive to them, and because it's a sparkling wine - so more like a champagne - DL can get away with it. If you found Rosa (made from the same grape from the same area) in a restaurant, it would probably be $9-10 a glass.

It will be fun to compare them.

The weird thing is there is a wine shop in Hawaii that gets this and sells it for about $20 a bottle, but you have to live in Hawaii.............. :sad2:
