I was looking at a website and found that there were rides at Disney that are no longer there which i had never known about as well as a 2 whole theme parks!

If You Had Wings. Sponsored by Eastern Airlines, If You Had Wings was one of the few rides at Disney’s Magic Kingdom that rarely drew a line. It was replaced by If You Could Fly in 1987 and now Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin stands on the site.

Flight to the Moon. Hosted by Mr. Tom Morrow, this “state-of-the-art” Tomorrowland attraction opened on Christmas Eve, 1971 and became hopelessly outdated by 1975 when it was replaced by Mission to Mars. Stitch’s Great Escape now occupies the site.

Heres some more

River country - Disney's River Country was the first water park at the Walt Disney World Resort. It opened on June 20, 1976 and ceased operations on November 2, 2001.[1] On January 20, 2005, The Walt Disney Company announced that River Country would remain closed permanently.

discovery island - The island opened as Treasure Island on April 8, 1974, as a place to observe wildlife, and was later renamed Discovery Island. It closed to the public on April 8, 1999, but continued to operate until July 9, 1999, at which point all of its animals had been relocated to new homes at Disney's Animal Kingdom (whose Safari Village hub area was renamed Discovery Island) and other zoos.
After its closing, Disney considered teaming up with the makers of the Myst video game to create a cutting-edge interactive experience to be called "Myst Island". Guests to the island would explore unusual locations and unravel a mystery about the island's previous inhabitants. However, development of this attraction never got beyond the concept stage.[2]
The island's facilities were the home of the last known dusky seaside sparrow before it died in 1987. The species was declared extinct in 1990. The island remains closed to the public. It can easily be seen from Disney's Contemporary Resort and from Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, as well as from boat trips between them. The island is adjacent to Disney's River Country water park, which is also closed.

I used to love the cable cars in MK!! Not much of a ride I know but they were much like the TTA- a nice place to sit and rest ;) I know they were the in '97 and I'm pretty sure they were gone in 2000.

Alien Encounter looked like a really good one. But I can see why they got rid of it. It was still a good one though.

Journey into Imagination,Kitchen Kabaret,Horizons,World Of Motion, and 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea are my favorites. ~

After watching Alien Encounter,I would of loved it.

20,000 Leagues Under the Sea was one ride I heard about that sounded interesting. My dad went to Disney World like basically during it's first few years on the map and got to ride it. He said it was pretty cool and wondered where it went when we went last year. :sad2: It is also the only E-ride to ever be taken down at WDW.

I forgot about JII! My favorite retro-Epcot ride! I feel so ashamed :guilty:

I agree. My parents and my sister got to go on it and they loved it. It's so sad that they got rid of a Walt Disney classic. They need to get more money to bring it back. It's coming up to my favorite next to Journey into Imagination. ~

And the nemo seas pavilion. I went in there before that and it was amazing.

You mean the Seas Pavilion before Nemo took over?

Yeah,I went in there as well. ~

No before it was Nemo themed, it was themed to be a sea base that was supposidely at the bottom of the ocean. To get there you had to ride these "hydrolators" which moved like 2 inches the whole time but looked like they were going to the bottom of the ocean. There was also an omnimover ride that went through the aquarium. But alas, all good things must come to an end

(sorry for giving you an explanation you already knew, I just saw the second line in your post :headache:)

Mr. Toad was the only ride with two different experiences depending on which load area you boarded.

20K was the only E Ticket ever closed. It was apparently too expensive to maintain. The area including and behind the old lagoon is now the Fantasyland Expansion.

If You Had Wings/Dreamflight's track was never changed in the conversion into Buzz Lightyear.

Copy and Paste? HOW ABOUT NO

Also 20K wasn't handicap accessable

Before Mickey's Philharmagic, there was Mickey Mouse Revue. It was replaced by Magic Journeys after it was replaced by Captain EO in EPCOT,then that was replaced by Legend of the Lion King. ~
