are you staying at river island this time...??/
we just got back this afternoon...
if you get a chance ( as you more than likely will ) ask if you can get a look at the "4 (5) bedroom" model unit on the top floor
sad to say the "update" offered to owners is only 15 minutes and then they turn you over to a "rep" who then tries to "sell" you
they also had misinformations in the 15 minute presentation, eg exchange fees for rci 166 instead of 164, when you mention that to the presenter ( who has a similar last name to the CEO ) he just says you got lucky getting it for the 164 price ....he also seemed misinformed about international exchange rates....yes, he is not an rci rep, but he should not be using the rci costs more ploy in his power point presentation unless they are accurate
the "counselor" they passed me onto seemed very "fairfieldish" since a lot of the terms he was using seemed to have their roots in Fairfield ( PIC program instead of PFD was one )
he seemed unaware of the "vast" River Island availability through RCI when i asked how much inventory that RCI would be getting, he seemed to imply there would be next to none ( the reason i asked was the "pull" a blue week from arkansas had for river island later next year ), of course, this may all shake out as more and more go to Go Global
he also stated that the 4 bedrooms are not for sale but will be used in the VIP program....heck, gjw, he even said he had already been able to book a four bedroom for a family reunion ( sounds like the ability to use may be evolving as he did mention they were thinking about adding a new category to the three present existing VIP tiers
have you been able to make any reservations yet gjw, or are they letting the best go to the employees who are owners before rolling it out to "regular" joe owners
by the way we were in the two bedroom of a three bedroom lock off unit.....but they have some issues to work out with respect to knowing who is where.....we got 10 calls the second night from someone trying to make contact with someone in the one bedroom lockout......and on tuesday we had a knock on the door ( day 3 of our 7 day stay ) asking us when we were checking out since they wanted to clean the unit...all they had on the clip board was the "whole" unit number not A or B, you would think with a 15 million dollar ( supposedly ) upgraded computer system they would be able to know how the three bedroom lock out was being used for that week....
have a good time .....it was cold there when we left this morning.....45 at 5 :30
