Olaf's Snow Fest

I was there on Friday. We waited about 10 minutes for a pager. With the pager you can go anywhere in Hollywood Land so you don't need to hang out in the snow fest area. Our pager went off after about 25 minutes and we went in and met Olaf straight away.

Approximately what time did you get in line for the pager? Trying to plan my two DCA mornings! Thank you.

We just did this (2:45 on a Monday) we waited about 20 min for the pager. When we were let in to play, we waited about 15 min for the snow. The pager went off shortly after our 15 min of play time was over, so about 30 min after being let in. Then we waited about 20 min in olafs line.

Wow, quite the time suck! Olaf is a must do for us, but I just don't want to waste the morning hours on it unless the time wait is significantly less!

35 minutes start to finish isn't too bad.

What time of the day did you start this process?

Ok, I was there Friday, Feb 13th. We didn't get there until 11:30 to line up for Olaf. We waited 15 min for a pager. When they gave us the pager they said it would be 45min-hour before they would go off. It was 90 degrees outside, so we went in to play in the snow after. We waited in line for the snow, went sledding (SO fun! and Olaf was interacting with the kids in line for the sled because no one was in his line) and did some shopping. DS had to use the restroom and I asked the CM where the nearest one was at, she told me they weren't letting anymore people in, so she gave me a pass to get back in after the potty break. Our pager went off at exactly an hour after receiving it. Waited in a short line and got to see Olaf. DS was thrilled! Olaf was great, the entire inside are was very well themed and we had a blast! Highly recommend this experience to others =)

Thanks for the report, Crystal1313! Is there anything else to do while you wait besides the snow? We are trying to escape snow! Lol!

Are they ending it for the summer? I know my girls would love to have a M&G with Olaf when we go in October.

jenjersnap, yes! They said we could stay anywhere in Hollywood land up to Tower of Terror (I'm guessing that's as far as the pager would work). So I asked my son what he wanted to do. He choose snow. But we could have done Monsters inc, animation building, Frozen sing a long, TOT, etc. I liked that we didn't have to stay in a boring line the entire time and could do other things.

Thank you for all the updates! I can't wait to see it all and meet Olaf next week! My son will be so excited!

No problem! I was super worried about meeting Olaf and it was great! They made it really easy and the CM's were wonderful about giving more information. Hope you all enjoy!

I thought I'd update my thread now that I'm back from my trip.
We went to the snow play area and to see Olaf after dinner on Thursday night at Carthay Circle. It was about 6:30. The Freeze the Night party had started but it wasn't really packed in the area at all. We listened for awhile to the stage performances and then walked into the Snow Play area. It's amazing inside!! Looks like you stepped right into Arendelle. The cast members directed us outside if we wanted to wait for Olaf. It was about 7pm by now and they had stopped given out the pagers that night and instead just told us to wait. My mom waited in the line outside while I took my son inside to play in the snow. There was no wait for that. He played for about 20 minutes and then we joined my mom outside in the line and waited another 5 minutes before they let us in. Once inside we waited about another 10 minutes before our turn to see Olaf. The cast members in this area are fantastic! They all were so friendly to talk to. The cast member that led us inside sang Following the Leader and made us all skip, it's Disney how could you not, really fun atmosphere. So if you can go during that last hour before they close during the weekday. A lot less time waiting.

Thanks for posting your experience! Olaf is our absolute must do and I have been making myself crazy trying to figure out how to minimize our wait. It sounds like Olaf and the snowfest stay open as long as the parks are? I think we will try out this strategy our very first night and, if it doesn't work, I can re-assess our morning.

We did this yesterday, and the time it took was well worth it :). The pager system was great and we were able to use that time in a way that worked for our family. All the frozen stuff was great. Highly recommend!
