Okw - Which Bldgs. Have Elevators????

I'm stuck b/w going to OKW or SSR in August. I will be undergoing a 2nd abdominal surgery very soon and I don't want to be walking up stairs to get to my room. I also have a two year w/ a stroller and I cannot be lifting. I'm leaning toward OKW b/c I would be using less points than SSR for a 1-BR. Does anyone know which bldgs have elevators just in case I'm put on an upper floor. I also want to be close to the main bldg and the pool. Thanks for the info ....it's been a long time since I stayed there and honestly I do think I was at Area 51 when I was there before ....

The only ones with elevators are 62, 63 and 64. These are close to the HH area.

I'm just looking at the map - that's great for the HH but how far of a walk is that from the HH to the pool and Turtle Shack....it just seems so far away....I'm so used to staying at BWV or BCV where you walk out the door and everything is right there (after walking miles in the hallway, but at least it's air conditioned).

Do u think I'm better off at SSR or is it the same diff?

The main pool is by the HH area so these buildings are close to that. The community hall, restaurants, general store etc. are here also so those buildings are very close. The turtle Shack area and pool is a secondary pool.

Another option is to just request a first floor room. You're pretty much guaranteed getting one for medical reasons.

Sorry, missed answering your question about SSR. SSR will have elevators in each building so you will not need to worry about which building you will be in. The resort is very similiar though to OKW in that you could be walking a ways to get to the main pool and HH area. If you are lucky enough to get the Grandstand area, there is another smaller themed pool there. Congress Park is nice also and the Springs is the closest to the main area. One other note, there are walking paths and sidewalks at SSR, where OKW does not have them through the resort. Hard to say where you will end up at either resort. Our personal opinion is that we love the style of SSR better, but love the larger 2BR villas at OKW.
