OKW vs. CS

My fiancé and I will be honeymooning in 2017 and I'm torn between these 2 resorts as a fall back plan. We plan on renting points if we stay at a dvc property so cost will be similar for both. I will try to get either BWV or a value studio at AKL first but I've heard that both are difficult reservations to get even 11 months in advance. We will be renting a car as well so transportation is not a factor.

Any opinions on whether Coronado or Old Key West would be better for a honeymoon?

I don't like the OKW studio configuration for a honeymoon. I'd say a Coronado King would be better.

BWV isn't too hard to rent into UNLESS you want a Standard Studio. Those are very hard to get. AKV Value is also a limited inventory. Have you considered Saratoga Springs? I think it would be a nice honeymoon resort.

I'd suggest also potentially looking st Swan/Dolphin. They're rather elegant, have great pools and are more adult. The main benefits you sacrifice there are Magical Express and Magic Bands. Cost would be quite similar to Coronado or DVC rental of OKW.

We spent part of our honeymoon at CSR. The grounds are lovely and the room was so quiet and peaceful.

CSR has a dance club and spa for couple massages. Very romantic for couples. Grab a drink and lay on the hammocks on the beach too

An OKW 1 Bedroom has a Jacuzzi for two! For me, that's perfect for a honeymoon

We just returned from OKV 1 bedroom and loved it!! Both of my friends who have DVC really dislike CSR, and I only found out after needing to extend one night due to the storms in SC in OCT and staying at CSR. During our vacation we had stayed at AKL which is our go to resort and we LOVE it. When we found out we had to stay because we couldn't get home we ended up at CSR, and we were unhappy. I would recommend AKV, BWV, and OKV in that order. I have stayed at all 3 and like them all. Congrats and have a wonderful time!

Definitely a 1 bedroom at OKW. Of course I am partial being a Vacation Club Member.
