OKW vs BWV Studios

Has anyone stayed in a studio at either of these resorts? My husband and I are planning a trip together for Nov 08. Just wondered which may be more suitable?

The biggest difference is OKW has 2 queens, BWV has 1 queen and a sleeper sofa. If you both use the 1 queen, the BWV will seem bigger with the sofa, the 2 beds take up most of the room at OKW. OKW is quiet, BWV is busy with all the boardwalk activity and an easy walk to Epcot or walk or boat to MGM.

The sleeper sofa at BWV is only a double if you decide to use both beds. The bathroom at OKW is probably twice the size of the one at BWV. The sink, tub and toilet are all in one room at OKW. The sink is outside the room with the tub and toilet at BWV.

You might get a studio at BWV that doesn't connect to any one bedroom so you don't have to worry about noise coming from your neighbors through the connecting door. At OKW, I think all studios connect to one bedrooms.

If you stay at BWV, you'll be parking your car in the large parking lot in front of the BW. If you park at OKW, you'll probably find a parking space right outside your villa.

You'll have more room at OKW over BWV.

Elevators are very limited at OKW - only three buildings have them. There is only one bank of elevators at the BWV for all five floors.

If you want to be "near the action" and like to walk out your room to lots of stuff to do....stay at the BWV. It has more of a hotel atmosphere, whereas OKW you will drive and park outside your room, and it has more of a condo feel to it. Unless near the hospitality house, you will have to take a bus or drive to any "action" at OKW.

We have stayed at both, and enjoy both for different reasons. We love OKW because the room feels bigger due to a different floor-plan, you can park right out front, and it has a quieter atmosphere. We love BWV because of location! location! location! We are right on the boardwalk and in walking distance to Epcot and MGM.

Good luck deciding....it's a hard choice!

It doesn't only feel bigger, the rooms at OKW are much bigger than all the rest for the same size accomodations.

Thanks for all of your input! I think this has made the decision even more difficult...instead of easier!

For studios, the difference is very small. BWV 359 square feet vs OKW 376 square feet. BWV feels bigger with the sofabed closed. At OKW, it seems like the 2 queen beds take up most of the room. For larger rooms (1,2,3 bedrooms), OKW is definitely much bigger.
