We have stayed in 2BR at OKW and BCV, so this is new. We are thinking of going in October and they have studios and 1br left. Just wondering how large are the studios as I know they are larger than the ones at BCV. There will be 3 of us and dd is 7 yo. What type of things are in there? fridge, microwave? We don't have enought points to do 1br, as we are going again in Feb in a 2br at BCV. Is there enough room? Are there 2 beds or a sleeper sofa and 1 bed? Any thoughts would be appreciated! Thanks so much.

The studios at OKW are larger than those at other DVC resorts, but I don't know the precise footage.

Two beds.

Dorm size refrigerator, microwave, coffee pot, toaster, paper plates and plastic utensils (but real glasses and coffee mugs)

If you have been at an OKW 2 BR, the 2nd BR is just like the studio. The difference is if you were not in a lock off, the door to the 2nd BR is actually 2 doors that lock on each side. Also the closet area is smaller to allow space for the kitchenette and the front door. You also have a small patio/balcony.
An OKW studio is almost 400 sq ft, where the others are about 356 sq ft. But since the 2nd bed at OKW is a BED not a sofa bed, it can not fold up when not in use. So the other studios 'feel' roomier because the bed is not in the way.

Have a great trip.

Studios at OKW are 390 square feet the others are 356 or 359 but like has been said you have 2 queen size beds in the studio so you really have less walking around space. You should be fine with just 3 of you especially since one of you is 7 years old. Don't forget to bring a band-aid to put over the peek hole at OKW the light shines right through and hits you in the eye when sleeping. I haven't stayed in one since being a member but will never forget the light through the peek hole.

We have never had a problem with the 2 beds versus the bed and sleep sofa. The table and chairs make it very comfortable. The OKW bath seems much more spacious to me.

We prefer the OKW studio when our son goes with us so that we will have 2 beds and no one gets a sleeper sofa. If just hubby and I are trvelling, then we prefer the studios at the other resorts to have the sofa to sit on.

The only negative is that the kitchenette area in the OKW studio is not nearly as spacious as in the studios at the other resorts. However, the bathroom is big enough to have a party in. :rockband:

We love the OKW studios and have never been disappointed in them. If your trip is a fairly short one and you do not mind not having a full kitchen and washer and dryer, then I would save the points it would take to get the 1 bedroom.
