OKW Studio Questions - Views and Pool Proximity?

Hi all

I'm wondering if some of you OKW studio veterans could give me a brief description of what views your studio(or building #) had and/or approximate walk time to a quiet pool from your building location. We'll be staying for 10 days and if I have a chance to consider a few different locations when we check-in, I'd like a general idea of what is out there. I checked the room reviews but there wasn't much there.

We're interested in being close to a quiet pool for our 7year old while the other is in the room with the 7 month old! We do not need to be near a bus stop or the Hospitality House.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Hi!
I've got some room reports on OKW studios, and the only one that specifically mentioned closeness to a quiet pool is #2026. But no mention of view from that one. What type of view are you looking for? I'm sure there have been other studios close to quiet pools, just none that I could find where that was specifically mentioned.

Here is an <a href="http://disboards.com/showthread.php?s=&postid=1251562#post1251562">OKW configuration summary</a> that may help.

There are four pools total including the main pool and there will be studios close to each pool.

Enjoy!

We stayed in the Southpoint area last time, which was very nice and close to a quiet pool. We were in building 56. It wasn't far from the start of the path you could walk to DD. It was quite far from the Hospitality House area.

I don't think the views from most of the studios are that great. The outside porch is very small also. What I would concentrate on is the closeness to a small pool. They will help you with that at check in., also give that as a preference when you make your reservations. A suggestion that you stay near the southpoint pool is a good one. That is a nice area with a very good small pool.

Thanks for the replies and the map. Looking at the map, it does look like 55 or 56 would be great, but since we're checking in the Monday after Easter we will probably have little wiggle room for choice! So if I try for anywhere in the Southpoint area, maybe we will luck out. By views I guess I mean anything without a parking lot, road, or dumpster! Anything else to look at besides that kind of stuff would keep us happy! Even a palm tree in our face would thrill my husband - our window view at home right now is ice so anything is an improvement over that!

Thanks again

Laurie

I had a two-bedroom last summer, and put my parents in a studio that was just two doors down. ::yes::

Like us they had a beautiful view of the waterway behind OKW and we could watch the boats coming up and down every day. Night time was especially nice.

We had a small quiet pool right next to our building. We would simply drive our car up to HH to use the main pool. :wave2:
