OKW Studio in early December

Does anyone know how the availability is for a studio at OKW from Nov 30-Dec 6, 2003 ?

We are debating buying into DVC but don't want to do it unless we can use it this December (otherwise we'll wait till next year to buy)

You'll probably have to go on the waitlist. I think that I read that all DVC resorts are pretty much booked the first two weeks of December. That has got to be the most popular time of year for DVC members. You never know though, you could luck out and there will be something available since the 7-month window is coming up. The waitlist does work most of the time if you are flexible on where you stay. But of course there are no guarantees.

Since you are looking for a resale, even if you found the perfect OKW resale today, it would likely be six weeks till you could make a reservation.

But you will put it off again next year, and the year after, never quite getting around to it.

The one regret that many members have is not joining sooner.

Not only do you miss out on enjoying the wonderful DVC accommodations, the price keeps going up.

If it's not currently available, waitlisting isn't the worst thing, especially this far in advance. It should work out. People's plans change all the time.

Don't know about these dates but, OKW is my home and we booked 12/22 - 12/27/2002 at 4 1/2 months (called MS on 8/13/2002). So anythings possible. Best of luck and we hope to be saying "Welcome Home".

Last September we booked an OKW studio for the first week in December. So anything is possible! ...In fact, that trip we were packing stuff up the night before we were supposed to go home and decided we wanted to stay an extra day, so we called MS and added the next night, and we even got to stay in the same room - just had to go down to the front desk and get new keys the next day.
