OKW Smoothies

We will be trying out OKW for the first time on an upcoming trip, and we are looking forward to staying at this lovely resort.

My younger daughter is a smoothie addict! She really enjoyed being able to go to the Leaping Libations bar at BWV main pool and order smoothies with her room key last year.

So when I said we were going to stay at OKW this year, her only question was...do they have a place where I can get smoothies?

So....do they have such a place at OKW? Is it at the Hospitality House or would it be in a remote location by a quiet pool as well?

I must admit, I know very little about OKW. That's one of the reasons I'm really looking forward to this trip!

I guess as long as I'm pumping for information, do they have any places to get a snack or drink outside of the main HH area?

The coveted Smoothies are available at Good's Food To Go (next to The Gurgling Suitcase on the OKW Turtle Krawl Boardwalk) and at the Turtle Shack (at the Old Turtle Pond Pool).

You shouldn't ever be too far from a Smoothie!

They also have smoothies at Olivia's sit down restaurant. This is one of WDW best kept secret!.

I hope you enjoy OKW as much as we did. We're diehard VWL fans, but OKW in my honest opinion is a hidden jewel. Even back in Southpoint I thought it was great (quiet).

And OKW has great smoothies!

Don't worry. I heard that you can get all of your meals blended into a smoothie at OKW. They do it to take care of all the retired folks there who can't walk the long hallways of the BWV or see in the dark rooms at the VWL.

We've had great smoothies there every time we go. I even had a cappuccino smoothie one year and ordered it with my omelet at Olivia's. Made for a great breakfast
My ds loves the banana smoothies , but they didn't offer that one last year My two younger dd's had strawberry ones this past Nov. I think they may change the flavors from time to time. Enjoy !
Hope you'll have a great time at OKW. The Turtle Shack, as Doc pointed out, is the place to go for a snack attack when you're not near the HH.

Littlestar....we are quite excited to be "sampling" OKW! We haven't stayed at any DVC resort that we didn't find tons to love about it, and I'm sure OKW will be the same.

Doc, Laurajean and Maria...thanks so much for the information and feedback. Now I have one of my children who I know will love OKW...as long as she can go get her smoothies she's a happy camper.

OKW is a wonderful place. We have stayed there once and enjoyed it. So much so it inspired us to addon pts.(at VWL, of course)

You'll love it! I'll be anxious to hear your report. We love the look at VWL, but it is a bit too much like home for us! Living in a northern log home, I like to feel like I am in Florida when I go on vacation. We do always visit WL for our lobby fix and to have a meal at Artist Point. We LOVE that place!
