OKW room on Cash ~ DVC only Discount?

My Mom, my sister, my nephew, my 2 kids and I (6 total) are planning an early June trip.

My Mom, my kids and I are going two days early and are going to stay (hopefully) at AKL. Then Sunday morning my sister and nephew will arrive and we will check into a 2 bedroom OKW room until Friday.

Well the airprices out of DFW are outragious, to say the least. It is cheaper to fly out on a Saturday instead of Friday. So we need another night at OKW. Well, I don't have enough points for an 'extra' Friday night stay. I know that the DVC cash discount is 25%. Is there any chance that OKW offers an AP discount? or is the 25% the only hope I have?

OH... could the reservations be linked so we would stay in the same room on the last/cash night?

The DVC 25% off would probably be better. The AP discounts for the current period are a flat $100 off for deluxe/home away. The rack rate for a 2 bedroom in June for OKW is $575 (plus tax). DVC 25% off would be $431.25. If AP is a flat $100 off, that would be $475.


If you book the DVC discount, the reservations will be linked and treated as one stay.

The member discount is not always available. So you might have to try something else, like CRO, if you can't get it through MS.

If you get a member discount through MS, you can link the reservation. If you get a room through CRO, you won't be able to link the reservation. They will note it on your points reservation, but it is not guaranteed. You might have to move.
