OKW review from the resort board -

The studios at OKW are really nothing to brag about as the writer claims. The studios are of to the side and usually offer little in the way of a view. I always felt the studios were there for over night needs, not really intended to be used by the members anyway. Everything he said is true, but he failed to give balance to his report saying very little about the 2 bedroom. I can see his point that staying at the studios is not what deluxe accomodations are all about. He does mention the cart that rolls though with towels at about mid-night, one would think they would do something about this problem, but DVC never has, I guess, I don't hear the thing because I sleep in the master bedrooms that are always in the back of the units. The renter had a total lack of understanding of what OKW is and that is a place constructed for long term stays. I can only imagine what he would say if he did not get daily maid service!!

And of course, his studio was in one of the new buildings, with the worst parking and closest to the roadway. Also on the road that every single laundry cart uses in the resort, since the maintenance/CMs access is on Miller's Road. To be truthful, I try not to stay in that particular location either. I mean, it would be OK if we flew in and relied on Disney transport, but we usually have a car, and it just isn't a convenient area for us. Other than that, we usually stay in a studio every other trip, and they're fine for us.

Plus, he was paying CASH. I can only imagine what that cost!

BTW, we were put in that building once and asked to be moved. I swear when you laid in the bed it sounded like a vehicle was coming at you from one side (heard thru the window) and was going past you on the other side (heard thru the patio door). Never again.
