OKW Questions

Just made rese for April at OKW. We've been to WDW many times, but have never seen this resort. Our home resort is HH. Has anyone seen the new waterslide area. Is there a food court or similar where you can fill your mugs. Any other tips would be appreciated. ko

We've been to OKW and SSR once. Between both resorts my teenage kids like OKW the best. They like it for the slide and how they can watch the golfers go by since DH and sons like golf. The rooms are large and they truly feel like it is their second home. It is so peaceful!

If you are looking for fun and relaxation you are going to the right place

Goods to Go, a counter service food location, is just off the pool area. You can get your mugs refilled there.

You're going to love OKW. It's a quiet, laid back oasis in the middle of all the WDW action.

You'll love the size of the units and the variety of the pools. We don't have youngsters, so we haven't tried the new water slide, but the reports from others have been very favorable. Things I like best:
*big units
*huge balcony
*ease of parking
*good bus service to parks
*full laundry room in the unit instead of a stackable closet laundry.
*feel like it is a home instead of a hotel
*friendly staff
*Old Key West themeing.

you can fill them at good to go - but they have to fill them. No self service at this resort.

sometimes the wait for this is just down right long.....

so I won't but a refillable mug here - just get some cokes from the grocery store stop.

SSR is the only DVC resort at WDW that allows you to fill up your own mugs. (unless there is a new place at the BCV in the marketplace???)
