Okw Question

Hi guys,

My husband and I bought in SSR last October and are about to reserve our first trip 'home' for next year.
We are planning on spending a couple of weeks at SSR in a Studio and then a week at OKW in a 1 bedroom.
Can anyone advise me which building is best to request at OKW and your opinions on the various buildings and their locations.

I don't think there are any "bad" buildings at OKW, but it certainly depends on what your priorities are as to what location would be good for you. Do you want to be close to check-in and Olivia's...be sure to request that. If having 2 entrances to the master bath is important, request building 30 or over...but then you won't be near Olivia's, unless you get 62, 63 or 64. As far as view, I haven't had any "bed" views at OKW, except for bldgs 28 and 29. The rooms are fine, but the "wooded view" looks like it has been neglected. Tell us what you are "looking for" as far as what would be your likes and dislikes and members here can probably narrow it down for you a little bit more. Also, will you have a car, or rely on Disney transport...you may with to request to be near a bus stop.

OKW has,in my opinion, some of the best water views.

You opinion may differ.

you can request near a bus stop, quiet pool or HH.
the views are woods, golf or water.

my first visit was a golf view and I tried to get it again. instead they put me in building 18 and I had a water view that was unbelieveable to me at the time. It was lovely!!!

I tell them now if they hadn't shown me what great views that OKW has I would have been happy with the woods or golf view.

I have to agree with the previous posts. You have to decide what is important to you. I always request non-smoking as my #1 priority. We like upper level floors, doesn't seem to be obstructed by bushes. I like building #'s 23-26. They are the first bus stop at the end of the night and a walk over the bridge to the HH and featured pool. Good Luck

We prefer the quiet of OKW so the last two times we have be able to get bldg. 46. It is in the South Point area, near the canal and walkway to DTD. It is just don from the bus stop also. One nice feature about OKW is that you park right outside your biulding. We are never more than 30 to 40 ft. from our car...smjj

Over the past 10+ years we've stayed at OKW dozens of times. Our most favorite location is in Bldg 24,25,26 - nice water & golf views, quiet, handy bus stop and an easy walk to Hospitality House.

We haven't ever had a "bad" location, either!

We too have had dozens of stays at OKW, and while we always take what we get, we have never had a bad location. Our favorites are the South Point area and the buildings along Miller's Road for the views.
