OKW Question

In the one bedrooms at OKW, have they been changing the sofabeds to the SSR style sofabeds?

Yes, I don't know if all the units are finished, if not, they should be fairly close to completion. They were up to Bldg 36 last December and were changing them as part of the full rehab schedule.

I'm hoping we get a unit with a new sofa next month, since I'm the one that will be using it

Vernon, the new sofas are a completely different folding and mattress design. I haven't used one yet, but they are suppossed to be much more comfortable and don't have a support bar in the middle of your back.

We were in building 62 or 64 (can't remember which) in March and had one of the new style sofas in our 2 bedroom unit.

When we toured SSR during Member Homecoming last May, I didn't think to check out the sofa bed. However, in May the sofa bed in our OKW unit in building 62 was the newer one. I liked the "new" way the sofa bed folds & the fact that there was no bar to worry about in my back!

We stayed in building 43 this past week and it appeared to be the old sofa bed. I didn't try to open it but the upholstery was the same. Are the new ones easy to spot?

Halle... The way to spot new from old is with the back cushions on the sofa itself. If they fit on the sofa then it is the old mattress. If the back cushions are higher up than the back of the couch and will not go flush with the back then it is the new matress, as they fold differently and don't allow the back cushions to be flush with the back of the sofa. Not sure how many buildings are left, but they are working on it.
