OKW Question

SIL & her family want to go to WDW with us on our next trip, schedule for June 2018. There would be nine people total (all Disney adults: 5 adults, 4 kids). I gave them 4 hotel options with four ticket/dining options under each hotel option. I wanted to give them all options so that they could see the price ranges. They are at a disadvantage by having six people in their group. They decided on the most expensive option: all nine of us in a two bedroom suite at OKW.

Now for a few questions.

1. How likely is it that we would be able to get this option since we are not DVC members? We have looked into DVC & DH almost pulled the trigger last fall.

2. I know that DVC members get first choice at the home resort, then at all other DVC resorts. When would a non-DVC member be able to book?

If this option is going to be difficult to do, we'll back up & go with AoA with them in a family suite & us in a LM room.

I wouldn't think that getting a 2-bedroom would be a problem at OKW. Non OKW members can book at 7 months prior to check in.

Are you booking through Disney or renting from an owner? It'll be cheaper to rent from an owner. And I agree - getting a 2 bedroom at OKW shouldn't be a problem but you should be ready to book at 7 months prior to your dates. Also, you'll have to decide at booking if you want to be near the hospitality house or not. There are threads where people list their favorite areas. Personally, we always try to stay in the Hospitality House section so we can easily walk to the main pool and counter service restaurant.
