Can some of you OKW pros help me out on this one?

In February we will be staying at OKW for our second visit, but last time we stayed in a 1 bdrm villa. This time we're upgrading to a 2 bdrm, and I'm a TAD confused about the whole "dedicated" 2 bdrm vs the "lock off" 2 bdrm. Which one is which? And I know the number of each type varies by resort - does OKW have both available for request or just one?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I want to make sure we know ahead of time what the sleeping options will be. Thanks so much!

Lock-offs are the ones that can be rented as a two-bedroom or as a one-bedroom with the studio "locked-off" and available to another party.

OKW does have both.

I prefer a dedicated two bedroom myself. I prefer the space in the studio's closet and don't need another microwave when I have the full kitchen. My kids, however, think they should always have a fridge in their room!

When you reserve a two bedroom villa at OKW, they usually give you a dedicated two bedroom (one entry door, no kitchenette in the second bedroom, added a large closet, no balcony off the second bedroom). Unless you request the lockoff (add kitchenette, delete big closet, add balcony).

Do the dedicated two bedrooms have the two full-size beds? Or one bed with the sleeper sofa?

All 2 bedroom villas at OKW, whether they are dedicated or lock-off, have 2 queen size beds.

In the second bedroom. In the master there is a king bed. In the living room, one queen sleeper sofa.

All 2nd bedrooms at OKW have two QUEEN beds. The living room sleeper sofa is also a queen. The second bedroom of a dedicated at OKW will have a walk in clost added where the entry would be to the outside in a regular lock off studio.

The second bedroom of the dedicated also has a second vanity. Where the kitchenette would be there is a sink and mirror. It was nice having 2 different vanities in the second bedroom and the extra closest was nice too. We had 8 adults in our 2 bedroom this summer and it never felt crowded. We took the 2 chairs from the second bedroom and put them at the dining table and it was nice that we could all gather around during coffee in the AM.

Do all DVC dedicated 2 bedrooms offer 2 queen beds in the 2nd bedroom? Or is it just OKW?

All studios and second bedrooms at OKW have two queen beds.

All studios and second bedrooms at BWV have one queen bed and one sleeper sofa (all two bedrooms at BWV are lock offs).

All studios at BCV, VWL, SSR, AKV have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

At BCV only 25 dedicated two bedroom villas have two queen beds in the second bedroom; all others have one queen bed and one double sleeper sofa.

VWL, SSR, AKV dedicated second bedrooms have two queens.

Oh great question! Thanks so much.

For our trip they put us down as a dedicated 2bdrm and I think the lock-off would be better for us as we are bringing my father and step-mom.

If you're worried about privacy, you'll still get that with the dedicated 2BR. All the BR's have doors to seperate them from the main living area, and the living area seperates the BR's.
