I have a question about the pools at OKW. I believe there are a couple of quiet pools besides the main pool, correct? Does anyone know what the depths are? I have a 5yo who can stand in 3.5 feet and has just taken some swimming lessons. She is looking forward to using some of her new skills, and I'm hoping there is a pool that can accomodate - since we will be next weekend!!! :teeth:

There's the main pool which also has a kiddie pool area. The pool at Old Turtle Pond is basically a second "main" pool. Then there are two more basic pools (no arcade/snack shop) at South Point and Miller's Road. I can't help with the depths of the pools. Also, be aware that there are no lifeguards at any of the pools so keep a close eye on your daughter.

all the OKW pools at their deepest point is 5'

I was told so that most adults (even the ones who can't swim) can get in and get a child out that is in trouble.

being that most (I know not all) adults are over 5'.

didn't ask why they went with 5' - maybe 85% of adult population is 5' or over?

I believe that the quiet pools at OKW have a minimum depth of either 3 or 3.5 feet. I know that my daughter who is 7, and about 46" tall, can stand up in the shallow end without a problem.

Thank you! If it starts at either 3' or 3.5', that would be perfect. And - trust me - I'm one of these paranoid parents who won't take their eyes off their kids in a pool even if there is a lifeguard present.
